Layoffs are inevitable now - with Canada shut down, we are left with more hands then needed at both Mpls and Blore.

Canadian employees are receiving a minimum of 16 weeks severance. Has anyone heard anything about US based employees who support Canada? TSS Canada? TTS Canada support?

I could hear that some Org change is being planned to be announced in Jan but nothing is coming as of now. Merger of PMCOE/SD with Build. There will be lots of PG15/16/17 Team members who will not have work due to duplicate roles being removed.

All the Target Canada employees on the 8th floor at TP3 in downtown MPlS were just told their jobs are gone end of February.

Target plans to close at least 50 underperforming stores in the US end of February. Combined with job losses at Target ISM and Marketing in MPls, the job total will be at least 1,000.

I have been part of Target Canada since it's inception. And I was just told that ALL of Target Canada is closing in 5 months. All store inventory is being liquidated, all staff at stores and headquarters in Mpls will be told tomorrow.

I just got out of a meeting and the entire 7th floor at TP3 in downtown MPLS was just outsourced to India.

Is TSS remaining at pay grade R08 and taking the cut or is the pay cut part of a reduction in pay grade?

I hear that we'll have a massive layoffs in March (on the IT side). This is only a rumor right now and I did not hear this from multiple sources.

Is it me or does it seem like their hiring more "seasonal" people than in past years. My store told us today their hiring 48???? Seems fishy if you ask me.

Looks like Target is doing the same predicable patterns. A corporate layoff in October with a bigger corporate layoff in January. I think I will get my résumé ready for the next round.
