Here in Texas, over the last two years, but especially in the last 6 months, our hours in the store have gone from 8 hours/day to about 4 hours/day. Because of Obamacare, Target gives most who use to be full time an average of 20-25 hours/week. After... — read more

There is confirmation at my store that some leadership changes are happening. Also in May, the unload teams will start at 6 rather than 4 in almost all stores.
Work at home ha ha
Target has created positions nonexistent in real world. Working from home...seriously, just put watercooler stander on your resume and that is what most mpls employees do. Layoffs well deserved. They made this mess. Go walmart, become a greeter.

DTO Technician
It was always someone from local management that was there, mostly had to organize everything because this is usually everyone's first store closing. They really don't have no idea on erasing data on the management end. I hear that Logistics Techs at... — read more

I was recently replaced by vendors in the Distribution environment. I was suppose to help close a Target store soon, but now a vendor will perform this function. So basically Target is leaving the task to a vendor to make sure all data is wiped off... — read more
To Starbucks
They will not pay for your sick leave, if you're planning to quit then it's time to start using it. Target treat their employees terribly, it'll just get worse as they consolidates jobs, expecting you to do more with less hours.
Who got laid off from Target?
Just TLs?
Wondering
Is it just to TLs that are getting laid off?? Or do we all have to worry about our job at Target?
To Starbucks
Severance may or may not get paid out for your position but sick leave pay is never paid out. If you resign, you get nothing. No severance but depending on the state that you work in, you will not be eligible for unemployment pay. Check your state... — read more

Severance - Team Lead
Does Target offer severance package when they cut team leads? Please let me know, I am desperate.
Clarification
At the Target I work at their being so secretive about the whole thing. I actually found out on the news about the layoffs. They have been having more and more meetings than usual. I was told the layoffs will begin in September and no one's job is... — read more
Reorga won't fix what is wrong.
Target is management heavy and laying off productive workers and reorganizing the remaining will create work slow downs as TM's adjust to their new role. Those that can adapt quickly will be safe, the slow to adopt will be in a future lay off. The... — read more

Any updates on March/April Layoff ?? (If any)
I heard from Bangalore folks that Custom build COE may see a re org but will that create redundancy eventually layoff is not known. There is excess capacity in Leadership roles is very evident.
