Can you even do cuts the sized that is rumored in one day?

Anyone else hearing more and more chatter that the US/Minneapolis layoffs are happening on the 14th now? I have heard that a couple times today from 2 different sources.

If they're planning on cutting as many in the US as the rumors are saying (Rumors - ah said Rumors, son. Anywhere from 500 to 15000+), wouldn't Target have to report to the DOL what they were doing? If not, how are they getting around it?

I have heard TTS and marketing. None of the directors under our VP have that 1/15 7-9am meeting but I see other directors do. I hope that means we're safe!!

Personally the sooner the better so we can all get on with our lives one way or the other. I have consistently heard January 15, 10% reduction with a focus on BTT however Corporate wide. BTT will not exist and part of the rumored reorg.

Why would they change to Feb over the credit breach? I still see directors meetings on the calendars on the morning of the 15th. Target could cancel any security team layoffs, but I believe Steinhafel has committed to shareholders reductions this... — read more
