Black hole

Is it just me or does anyone else find the worst part of working for TIAA is becoming their client. Nothing like having your COBRA benefits being threatened because it’s gone into the black hole we all know exists there.

Anyone get stiffed on their Bonuses?

Did anyone get stiffed on their bonuses by pulling the ol "variable" compensation trick? Oh yes! Last year it was 20 but this year ut magically turned to a 5. Hocus Pocus!

Another change in Wealth Management leadership?

They announced new leadership for three positions in Wealth Management yesterday. That’s like the third or fourth change in the past 5 years. What’s up with that?? Of course, all three are from the outside. It seems very rare for them to develop... — read more

Below inflation raises

I’m hearing raises are well below the 7% inflation rate. They keep telling us how financially well we are doing and effectively decrease our pay. Execs and HR are so cheap. Bet they all get higher checks.

Breaking point

I was overloaded for months and now I'm burnt out. The more I worked, the more was added to my plate. I'm exhausted but I'm still hesitating to quit, considering that the competing companies too squeeze employees as much as they can. What was your... — read more

Desperate for cash

They borrowed another 1.3 Billion just in the last quarter and their YTD net income isn't even 400 million. They keep shuffling assets around and cutting headcounts in order to hide the fact that they'd be losing money if they didn't. They only... — read more

TIAA Bank Sold

TIAA Bank has been sold. Goes to show that for those that try your hardest and commit to the company and their values, and get a 5 star review on your employee reviews, it doesn't mean jack sh-t when you're being sold. So my question to you is, why... — read more

Others must have noticed this as well

In the past, it was possible to advance your career at TIAA by going the extra mile and being great at your job. That's no longer true. Now being mediocre is the preferred state because only then does nobody perceive you as a threat. Instead of... — read more

No, you're not safe

Yes, attrition is high. Yes, a lot of people have already been laid off or fired. No, we're nowhere near done. I admire people who can still live in a fantasy land where a job here comes with job security. The fact is, it doesn't. Look around you... — read more

Bad in every aspect

I often wonder how this ship even manages to stay afloat. Has anybody ever worked for a company that was more disorganized? I know I didn't. Honestly, I'm always shocked that we're not doing much worse than we are. I don't plan to wait and see if... — read more

Any idea why branding was removed from new badges?

Backfill Plan for Unvaxxed

FYI - I was told by a manager that once they have the 12/31 headcount, they are going to hire temps to cross train/shadow with anyone who is not vaccinated. If you get vaxed by 3/1, they let the temp go. Also just found out they are pushing back... — read more

Go to the press about the U5 reporting
