Long Term Pension Plan

What did everyone’s LTPP payout for the 3 years of vesting this year? I see ~3% per year or 9% total. CDs are paying better.

Random Musings For The Greater Good

I realize that nothing will ever change as a result of anything expressed on this site. For lack of a better explanation, it primarily exists for purposes of letting off steam. And with the understanding that this site is named TIAA Layoffs, as a... — read more

Change is hard

The Accenture people have transitioned, the initial Jacksonville and Denver date has passed and there have been spot layoffs here and there but the company is still running just fine. Maybe all the doom and gloom here is unwarranted? There is a new... — read more

TIAA Layoff Impacted Editorial Series (TIAA LIES)

We’ve seen the Faces of TIAA series where they pick some vanilla employee with a “feel good” story about how they love their job cause they have benefits and free parking or whatever. But we know that these aren’t real people with real stories... — read more

That darn squirrel is back

Oh joy. It’s training time. We have so many trainings in too many waves. Like most don’t apply to us anyway, just a leadership CYA for everyone. I feel like we just got finished with these trainings. Why not consolidate trainings? it was a lot... — read more

They want you to leave

If a company is instituting annoying and stupid policies, giving no raises and cr-p bonuses, it’s because they want you to leave. Yes, even you, the “top performer”. They don’t care if you leave. Your team might but your “CEO” doesn’t. They know the... — read more

Anyone else lonely after Accenture moves?

Only been a few days with last large move. But this week has been downright unbearable and heartbreakingly gloomy seeing all the empty desks and floors where our TIAA turned Accenture colleagues used to sit at each site. Feels pointless to go... — read more

Thoughts and fears for a 5 days RTO…

With the recent Accenture move this week, seeing how many empty desks there are across the country in person and via Zoom… they can easily make everyone go back to 5 days in the office. Which isn’t kind of scary to be honest. While this isn’t an... — read more

D-Day (decision) for Denver/BFD

Relo offers made today then nullified and redistributed. Wonder how the number compares to JAX folks. Wonder what they can’t just keep that money and let folks be remote. Or better yet use that money to keep the office open for a few more years to... — read more

Is my job in danger?

I recently had my annual review with my manager. I'm a little above a 2.5 and did not receive a bonus. I've been on a written warning for my ACW being 2+ mins. I've since improved and have gotten it below 2 mins and yet I'm receiving another warning... — read more
