What do people in Omaha think about Union Pacific?
Serious question for anyone that lives in Omaha or has an educated answer. Do local people see it as a greedy and unethical employer? Or do they love it still or did they ever? Or does anyone even care? It’s funny how at UP the town of Omaha is... — read more
Depressing work environment
Union pacific has completely destroyed employee morale with these never-ending layoffs. Tell me, how often do you see any of your coworkers in a good mood? When did you personally last smile or laugh at work? The only conversations we have anymore... — read more
UP succumbed to the pressures of Wall Street
The company has succumb to the pressures of wall street, and they will do whatever it takes to appease them. This will all be over by this time next year, and we can get back to what we’re used to. PSR is not a sustainable business model, just a... — read more

Fight back.
It's up to us workers to stop this madness. We have a choice either s--- into their lies or we fight back and show them who really is boss. Mechanical dept lay down on them. Transportation find every defect and shut those trains down. Slow this... — read more
False UP Online Employee Reviews (Glassdoor and Indeed)
Can anyone think of why someone, somewhere, would leave (obviously) fake positive employee reviews on websites like Glassdoor and Indeed? They have titles like "serious ground transportation" and "great place to work" with four or five stars. Clearly... — read more

When a company is doing this well, there shouldn’t be this kind of laying off
I am an agreement job holder as well. I do not think I’m entitled to a job. What I think is when a company is doing very well as Union Pacific is there shouldn’t be this kind of laying off. While I think there are bad performing employees in all... — read more

Make up your mind UP, are we essential or not??
