Is a career at Walmart worth it? What are the chances from working from the bottom and getting up with the big dogs?

I heard HO is pushing to stop working with most Vendor companies. One I know for sure is Kitestring. They don't care if whole teams dissappear. For some exceptions they will offer some vendors to become associates and move to Bentonville

What kind of BS is this? We get a lousy 2% raise and Sam's club is giving their associates. Under 1yr = 3%, 1-3yr = 4%, 4-9 = 5%, 10+ = 6%. Looks like I need to transfer before it goes into effect in November.
