Where any directors or executives laid off at WDI?

There have been lots of murmurs this week regarding potential layoffs of those already furloughed on the studio operations side. Has anyone heard anything concrete? The waiting and lack of info from management is so stressing.

Is it true that the DVC sales operation is gone and they are going to online sales only?. No sales staff and no more tours etc. I understand this elimination is underway. Can anyone confirm this?

Any news on how many union members will be laid off in Disney World? I saw someone say 1.800 but I can't find the source.

Layoffs have been announced at Walt Disney World for park and resort entertainment Cast Members. The entire orchestra at the Grand Floridian and the entire cast of the Luau at the Polynesian are being terminated. Ugh! Everything is falling apart!

We know it's coming and furloughed folks they know they are on the chopping block. Yet, they are keeping armies of managers and VPs with nobody to manage - just collecting paychecks and doing nothing.

From the company email today... we know the next few days are going to be rough. According to NBC news D'Amaro said “Around 67% of the 28,000 laid off workers were part-time employees” = each studio gets a 33% reduction of full timers.

Hopefully Disney's high-paid lobbyists, both state and federal, are pushing for more "emergency" civid-related unemployment. Cast members need it desperately. For example, I will not have rent money this month.

I hope that Disney lets us know something before the holidays. Many of us will be needing to find a new place to live by November/December. With Federal UI ending, thousands of cast members will be in dire straits.

I have not received any type of communication, email or written, since the April notice of furlough. What could this mean?

I just received notice from the post office that a letter from Disney HR is coming in todays mail. Has anyone gotten this letter yet? This is a WDW cast member that’s asking.
