A message from Building Services

I work in building services at a location that is being shuttered. We currently have a list of just below 30 such sites as of now. Yesterday we received word that employees will not be allowed to re-enter closed buildings to retrieve personal items... — read more

Exclusive Agents being phased out

EA is being slowly eliminated. Wait until sales goals come out for 2021 and R3001 is revised for compensation. Only about 20% of EA's will sniff the goals and with far less compensation. Also agency services being rolled into CCC gradually all proof... — read more

2-3 Weeks

Did anyone read the email from Tom saying that we will all know our fate in 2-3 weeks which is by the end of this month? So if we are getting assessments we would have to get them soon. So far Florida has gotten them, has anyone else?

If Outsourcing more to India Happens...

That doesn't seem like a very inclusive or diverse move. Rather, it looks more like a company exploiting a poor, underdeveloped country full of brown people. Just sayin'.

Assessments and legal...the latest

Assessments still going as planned however how they can be used legally and ethically still being reviewed and debated within Allstate legal and executive level. If and how they will eventually be used to be determined. These assessments are 100%... — read more

Allstate needs to replace upper management!

That's where the real problem with this company lies. Until all the execs and the entire upper management are removed and replaced with people who actually know how to run a company we will not see any improvements. This leadership will just continue... — read more

Which Group number do you fall under?

Staggered announcements will be used to communicate that layoffs will be based on needs of geographical locations not based on individual offices. There are 3 categories that employees will fall under: Group 1. Non-essential “redundant” positions... — read more

Full on collapse

Remember this in the future, don’t support a company who will lay-off employees at the peak of this pandemic/recession. Worst possible time possible to get let go. Would be easier to justify and understand if they were losing actually losing money... — read more

Sleepless nights now...

I hope Tom, Glenn, Julie, Carla, and the rest of the millionaires who would be curled up crying in the fetal position after taking a customer call are sleeping well tonight. I know a lot of us regular folk who actually provide worth to this company... — read more

Process is very simple

I was on a call that included one of the VP's in HR, there is a lot of bad info out there, the whole process is very simple, they were quite clear on what the options were. There are 3 (4) possibilities you can be notified of: 1) you are told... — read more

More mass layoffs by mid 2021?

With the acquisition of National General expected to be closed on and completed in early 2021 and with another 8000 "new" Allstaters coming aboard I would suggest being vigilant for this time next year for a repeat of what we are seeing now to at... — read more

HR Org email from Ms Blair

Anyone know how bad the cuts will be? The email didn't say much but tell people who they are working for.

Computer Outages

Is today just another day of planned outages or work stoppage going on?

All CSL and RSL positions are being eliminated.

But will be offered other lower paid positions. If they decline they will not get severance because it is considered to be a resignation since other positions were offered to retain employment.

Positions of need offered in place of severance

This morning we were told that around 2000 positions of need opportunities in phone service in different departments are to be offered at reduced pay to those RIF instead of severance settlements. Accept or quit on your own meaning no unemployment.

APLT Business Office

Does anyone know how the APLT Business Office will be affected with the layoffs? The jobs in that area are frivolous and are not-essential.

Never had to sign anything regarding suing?

I see a lot of people talking about having to sign something saying they wouldn't sue Allstate as a condition of employment. When was this given out and in what way? I don't remember seeing this at all.

Can anyone tell me where the 4 zone offices are/will be

I know they had mentioned in the call that there is going to be 4 zones now and I believe a home office for each, does anyone know where these are and if any jobs are opening? Looking to relocate if I don’t get canned first, I’m currently a field... — read more
