More layoffs coming to claims in 2022

Allstate Chair, President, and CEO Tom Wilson said the company’s expense reduction program is “well laid out” and “includes everything from using digital processes and getting rid of extra labor to using more outsourcing and cleaning up our processes... — read more

SCO (Legal)

A team has been created to work towards Answer automation. If you work in Legal, you know what that is. Anyone know if this means they are working to get rid of paralegals/admin and automate their jobs? Seems like this would be challenging, but many... — read more

Making more after returning?

Companies don't care about you, they never will. I have seen several of my coworkers go to other companies with most going to Progressive and Geico. They have realized that it is just as bad there as it is at Allstate. A few came back last month and... — read more

I would love for Allstate to get back on track

Good leadership, or good decisions, could do wonders and fix this mess. However, it seems that this is no longer possible and that it is too late to get this company back on track?

Bonuses

Comp statements out. How were bonuses for those eligible?

Phoenix? Phoenix.

All the postings for Phoenix on the allstate.jobs site are for director- or VP-level positions. What's up with that?

Don't let any company rob you of your spirit!

Here’s a story about my former colleague. He worked here for years and always pushed himself to perform to the best of his abilities. He was one of those guys who lived for his job, always loyal to Allstate. And then he got laid off. None of our... — read more

Allstate isn’t competitive in rates or pay

I work for a competitor and get a sick satisfaction when droves of customers keep coming to us because Allstate jacked their rates up. We all knew the pay is a joke.

Home of substandard claim handling

I came here after working for two other carriers and I am astounded at how many processes are in place to simply write coverage. It seems as though this is by design to drag the claims out. On top of that , the required production is nowhere near... — read more

Claims leaders

It seems the new style CSL’s have been extremely under qualified “yes” types only. Not skilled or Knowledgeable leaders at all. My whole area of the country has noticed this new direction. Are they trying to sink this ship faster???

Where is the DOI

The way we handle claims is bad faith on a daily basis! Where/when will the DOI step in and protect the customer!? It is maddening that a company this size is allowed to operate this way. I literally see or hear bad faith claim handling on a daily... — read more

Not so great way to start a career in insurance?

If I had the misfortune to gain my first experience in the insurance world here at Allstate, I would surely be looking to get out of this industry forever. I know a person who, after the experience here, completely changed the industry. Now she... — read more

What do you want?

I've read so much discontent here but I really want to know: what do you want? Is a company supposed to pay you lots of money and make no money? What would you change? It feels like everyone here wants to be paid to do nothing and believes that if... — read more

We need to hire more claims adjusters in 2022

No more layoffs please! We’re so over staffed that we’re doing the work of 2-3 adjusters. Every Sunday I can’t sleep knowing Monday morning I’ll be buried in 10-12 new claims and spending Half my day on the phone with angry shops insured and... — read more
