Mandates?

Bring the plantation down!

Opportunity Awaits!

Simply put, everyone I know who decided or needed to move on is better off for it. As much as they loved working with their AllState coworkers, they have moved on and have a better financial opportunity and job perspective. GOODNESS

cut more HO

At this point of your goal to cut expenses (I agree), keep cutting HO and field HO people. If not, make them work for you and deliver results. They are not managed.

Arity QCM

We had it quarterly communication meeting this morning and Gary has mastered Tom Wilson's playbook of not actually answering any questions he's asked or blaming the Enterprise for the delay in action. Some notes: Sounds like they aren't interested... — read more

Competitors are increasingly ahead of Allstate?

I think they are. In every sense they are getting ahead of this company and now I regret that I have moved here from one such company that's going forward, while Allstate is going backwards. Of course, it's not ideal there either, far from... — read more

It's not worth it anymore

We are not paid enough for the cr-p they've been putting us through and for the amount of work they've been getting from us in return. When's the last time we had a decent raise? I can't remember. With the inflation going up, what we get now is worth... — read more

Reap what you sow

Allstate announced 3rd results and they were horrible. They blame it on rising severity. If they hadn’t fired most of claims staff and the legal teams instead of outsourcing to India. Exactly what they expected when they penny-pinch and bit them... — read more

Crazy micromanagement

It’s such a horrible and aggressive micromanagement, that at times it’s ridiculous what managers, who should never have become managers, do to their employees. I have never experienced such destructive control anywhere. That person controls... — read more

Tom Wilson Charity

Take a look at all that Mr.Wilson has done to help underprivileged people in Chicago. Not saying he’s perfect, but that does paint him in a different light.

Lay off 2020al

Anyone know for the people laid off Nov 2020. How long would we need to wait to go back and not have to pay the severance back?

Quick question

Does anyone know if there will be layoffs soon? I’m thinking about whether to go or wait to be laid off and pick up my severance. It’s not worth waiting if there won’t be any cuts going soon.

401k Transfer

I recently left this hellhole for another carrier, does anyone know how to transfer over the funds from their 401k?

Stock down $9 on bad 3rd quarter

Wall Street not impressed with the TG progress. And they are committing to another 3 point reduction in expense ratio over next 3 years. That can't be good on the jobs front.

So what do you think allstate will do to those that choose not to get vaccinated since they will comply with the government mandate

I'm desperate to leave Allstate

I'm miserable here and I've been trying so hard to find something that would allow me to leave, but every offer I've received in the past six months has been ridiculously low. I'm talking 40 to 50 percent under what I'm making now. I could afford to... — read more

Yesterday was one of those situations, again, in which I was ashamed in front of the customer for something I shouldn’t be the one feeling shame, but Allstate. I know, I'm not the only one who's ashamed.

Being an Executive is a really hard job

They work long hours(12 + hour days) have more stress than most people, and have a lot of moving parts they deal with. People should keep this in mind as well.

Holiday schedule

Down to six whole holidays. Why not just get a retail job. At least you can leave for the day and be able to shut it off and not worry about how much you have to do tomorrow.

Annual raises

With the staffing issues, turnover and inflation, do we still think allstate will be low on annual raises or compensate with those factors

Long Term Officers Retire

It is good to see some long term officers retire!! Good for the company and employees in those departments.

What's the value of "Working from home"

What do you think? 10% of your salary? 20%, 30%... Can you put a number on it. For example, would you chose an in-office job, all other things being equal (except for the current job being 'from home')88, for a 20% raise?
