Anyone hear why Carrie Blair is leaving?
Market share dropping
All signs are pointing to Allstate dropping auto market share again. Rates, Claims and customer service are pathetic.
Chat positions
Does anyone know if any insurance competitors have any chat or non phone positions they are hiring for?
Same cr-p different day
We have some great people here but unfortunately most that I know are in the midst of looking elsewhere or working out their notice. I’m not looking forward to the work that will be pawned off to those who remain. We can’t seem to retain any... — read more
COVID survey
I don’t know about you but I’m terrified to fill this out truthfully.
Auto/property adjusters
Do any of you remember signing a non disclosure or non compete paper when hired? Been here 8 years and now thinking about switching to a different carrier.
Is overtime pay worth it?
In my ten years in auto claims this is definitely the lowest in terms of morale. They’re giving us overtime pay, but honestly the quadruple workload we’ve been given is just too much. 12 hour days are the norm in my unit. Angry customers, agents and... — read more
My jobless experience
I couldn't take it anymore. When I quit because I could no longer bear the daily overload of work, when it started to affect my private life - I gave notice even though I had no other offer at the time. It was really a huge stress and I thought it... — read more
Future doesn't look good
Too many people are leaving, whether it's through layoffs, cuts, or attrition. I don't think Allstate management realizes just how much trouble they'll have attracting decent talent when they realize that a major hiring drive is necessary. I wouldn't... — read more
ALL stock
Looks like the Allstate stock has dropped almost $10 this month, could drop even more…..
Is the grass greener on the other side
I actually like working in insurance but just getting tired of Allstate. Has anyone left Allstate and went to another company? If so is it better or worse? Also, if you would like maybe mention the new company? Asking for a friend (me, lol)
There's never a good time to be laid off
This company has many flaws but people are sometimes ridiculous in the things they claim it does on purpose. I saw a guy bi--h and moan on FB that Allstate intentionally laid him off on his daughter's birthday. Really? First of all, there is never a... — read more
REP ADJUSTER OPENING - CHANDLER, AZ
Just saw a new posting on INDEED for an immediate opening for an intermediate/senior level Rep Adjuster in Chandler, AZ. Is ALL hiring again after all these layoffs?
PPL meeting
Let’s see what BS Glenn the butcher has to say….
Unfair claims practices
Has anyone else been contacted about the unfair practices?
What is Arity's value?
Saw someone talking about Arity in a different thread. Why does Arity exist and why does it not get absorbed into Allstate?
Where is the line between hard work and squeezing people?
By the end of the week, I don't think I'll have enough energy left to do anything more than give notice. The past few weeks have been horrible for me. Those who don’t understand say it’s hard work. No, I don’t think it’s just hard work, I think it’s... — read more
Be careful of remote work and your future
Be careful of remote work and your future, if it can be done remotely it can be done anywhere. I was laid off last year, 20 years with company previous 3 years were remote. There are lots of things to love about remote but it is bad for a career. You... — read more
Career path recommendations
So currently I'm in RMBC, but don't see a good career path. I want to make as much money as possible so I'm thinking maybe go to claims. I can get experience and maybe to to another company as it looks like if you are advanced jobs pay close to... — read more
your decision
It is sad to see that you let some go because somebody“scored” better. They did not preform “better” you are not happy with them. Do you deal with mediocrity. Sad
They didn't seem to care at all
From everything said during townhall, I didn’t even understand what Allstate intends to do to keep people from continuing to flee this company?
Remote positions
How safe are remote positions? I was thinking of going fully remote, but I'm worried if that's a smart choice in the long run. I'm thinking that remote jobs can easily be outsourced and since this is Allstate, I doubt they'd care about the quality of... — read more
It’s time for SALARY roll call! (Any and all dept welcome!)
Since there are LAWS that protect employees discussing salary it’s time to “go round” and share with the group. Since they are hiring all these new folks at HIGHER salaries it may be time for the rest of us to get caught up! I’ll start….virtual... — read more

Arity screwed up
Much like allstate, Arity laid a large swathe of it's staff off last year, and funny thing is, with how quickly people have been jumping ship the last 18 months, they are now severely understaffed and don't know the first thing about hiring tech/data... — read more
Do they know what they are doing?
It seems to me that they didn’t think much at all when they made big cuts, nor after that with hiring and overhiring new people. While some departments are staffed with a lot more hires than needed, others have one person doing a triple workloads... — read more
New to Allstate claims? Start A Union
You will soon see why a Union is needed at Allstate.
I propose an employee survey
The one that'll truly matter. Ask every single employee if they have been searching for a new job in the last month, six months, and a year. That's it. That's the only question that needs to be on there. That single question will tell management more... — read more
Leaving for competitor
I’m curious of the protocol for leaving for a competitor. I have heard you’re “walked out” immediately but with the new remote work and Allstate’s deportation for employees I’m curious if you’d be allowed to work your last two weeks. Any insight? — read more

1-week pay withholding in 2020?

Layoffs shouldn't be necessary
I can't understand why layoffs keep happening when attrition is as high as it is. It would make some sense if people were only leaving certain departments and they needed to cull those that are having very few departures, but those don't exist! The... — read more
If you’re not in the legal department, keep scrolling
Any insider information regarding the future of paralegals at Allstate? Will they be the next to go? Now that the axe has fallen on lead counsel, who will be next?
Changing times
Non claim comment….some in departments are having to STEP UP for the first time in their long prosperous career. They were retained (HR) but no longer have the people to do their job. Oh well. I guess you’ll have to work.
Is there an Allstate call center in Atlanta
Im thinking of relocating since we are working from home but ideally I'd like to be near an Allstate corporate office.
I find the talk of motivation amusing
Whenever I see people complain about not having the motivation to work because of this or that, I find it both funny and entitled. Your motivation to do your job and do it well should be driven by your pay. Nothing more, nothing less. Now if you're... — read more
The difference between departments
Culture is toxic, morale is low, I think that could be said for all Allstate departments. Still, I wonder which department do you think is the most/ least toxic?
