Let’s give some credit to Brandt for looking after old Esurance folks and trying to be the nice guy here. He’s not the one ultimately making the big decisions
Let it go already
There are still people who enjoy working at Allstate. It makes me frustrated to come here looking for any news of layoffs when those who are no longer here or those who are unhappy do nothing but badmouth the company just because it’s an anonymous... — read more
I'm tired all the time
There is too much work. Too many people are gone and not enough have been brought on. I'm expected to do three times as much as I had to do when I just started. This is not and should not be considered normal. We should be able to work to live, not... — read more
Esurance separating from Allstate
Going under NatGeneral by end if month. Total debacle in handling of Esurance last year and a half
Entry level wage is a joke
The entry level wage is $16 when a nearby call center is hiring for $20. This isn’t even considering that other competitors are paying well above this while also being fully remote.
Did you live to regret it?
How many former employees gave their blood, sweat and tears only to be part of a RIF? Do you regret it all and wished you had moved on sooner or were you grateful for the experience and knowledge you’ve gained? Do you still harbor resentment or were... — read more

Thoughts?
There aren’t a lot worse companies in the industry than Allstate?
Of course, I can only blame myself for coming here in the first place because I didn’t trust the people who said the situation here was so bad. I’ve only been here a few months and I’m looking for a new job. I don’t believe I could've made a bigger... — read more
I see this all the time
There’s a big difference between teams of people doing busy work that has very little results in the day to day operations and those who are actually focused on meaningful work that makes a huge impact. Sadly, there seems to be many more in the first... — read more
August is usually light on layoffs
At least from what I can remember. I'm hoping this year is no exception.
Going back to Allstate?
Hey everyone, former Allstate employee here, I was assessed last summer and RIF'd in November 2020. Curious to know if anyone similar to my situation has tried reapplying to Allstate? What was your experience in going back to work for them?
Union Assistance
Organizers in our area already contacted three union groups. Two said they don't take on financial/insurance institutions and the other said Allstate legal is not something they can battle. I'm still for it if we can get a union group to take us.
The SCO IS CR-P
There is zero quality left here. Attorneys fleeing weekly for other jobs and not even giving notice. That’s how little they care and I don’t blame them. I’ll be doing the same after my official offer at another firm comes in.
Norma Rae
How do we get labor organizers interested in Allstate? Carl Ichan and the Vanguard and institutional investors would be interested?Do I want a union I dunno but options are always good. The posts about media everyone needs to start posting and... — read more
I just don't care...and it works.
I hate the company for what they have done to people and totally despise Shapiro and the other clueless goons at the top. However for me personally my job is easy and I am well paid. Fortunate I guess. But one thing about me is I have zero interest... — read more
I hate hating my job
Some people act like it's fun for us to come here and trash the company. Like it gives us some sort of satisfaction, but in reality, it doesn't. Don't you think that every one of us would prefer to like our jobs and be satisfied with it instead of... — read more
Who else thinks Allstate has too high rating on Glassdoor?
Three and a half stars for this mess? I think HR has been working overtime to mitigate negative but realistic and honest reviews from employees with their fairy tales. How else would they be able to lure new suckers to replace the many who are... — read more

Why would anyone care about this company anymore? I'm just interested in how to find a new job and get out of here as soon as possible. Do you notice that the situation on the job market is better now? How satisfied are you with the offers you've... — read more
Negative effects of outsourcing?
There are a lot of them, but those at the top are obviously not aware of it or perhaps they ignore them. I think Allstate will eventually realize that outsourcing has more of a negative effect on business and that it will have to change strategy.
How many will we lose to outsourcing before the end of the year?
I think we are losing many more people than we realize. The total number of employees doesn't change that much because for every American who is cut several people from cheaper countries are brought on. That heavily distorts the numbers and makes it... — read more
The art of "lift and shift"

Allstate Financial

How long after leaving people still hate Allstate?

How inspiring is Allstate leadership to you?
Yes, the question is a bit satirical. They only talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Leadership urgently needs to tackle their own behavior first, before communicating these changes to employees.
