Phones

Does everyone in claims phone ring non stop? I have a difficult time working my claims and answering the phone. I am new.

I’m still here because

Thanks to my tenure, if I am impacted by any future layoffs I would be able to look for a job for at least 8 months with severance and unemployment before touching my savings. If I voluntarily leave where would I find that safety net? I could move on... — read more

Beat them at their own game

Ready to talk to some nice credit Union type folks yet? Had enough BS and mistreatment? Thinking it will improve and we will all get back to normal times of 2 years ago? Think again. These thugs in Chicago don’t give a flying pig what the... — read more

Glenn’s 10mm option trade

Makes me think Glenn isn’t really a “nice guy”, and is more of an as----e guy who only looks out for his bank account. No more talk about his animal charity?

Glenn’s option trade

Did anyone else catch Glenn’s nearly $10mm options trade in May?? That’s what this all about people. Glenn and Tom aren’t d-mb, they are just solely in this for themselves, and for short term gain!

Glenn sells again

Glenn dumps yet another million in stock. Bleeding his holdings away should be all the reason you need for concern about where this company is headed.

They Can't Keep Getting Away With it!!!!

This One Claim process is unacceptable! I so not get paid to do four different roles! This is abuse! I will not stand for it. We can't let them keep doing this and just keep sitting back. Now they think they can just get away with abusing us! It... — read more

One-Claim

With Eric Brandt as the head of claims, the process may actually end up being better. Brandt is the kind of corporate guy who is big in stream lining processes, and removing roadblocks so that claims can get paid quicker, and less waste occurs... — read more

TG the real current status investors

The recent posts about blaming claims are beginning. TG is a loud of short cited BS. Glen and Tom look at their robber baron history of wrecking companies and parachuting out Liberty Mutual last disaster. Now we have people posting from other... — read more

All-in-One claim coming soon

Manager said today. This was discussed by head office this morning. Sounds like auto and prop adjusters will be doing everything with a claim. From first notice to paying out the check. Each will be accountable and responsible for their claims and... — read more

Layoffs

With over 4000 people that were terminated they definitely left the worst and poorest performing employees from tech support, claims, underwriting and management. Try spending your day dealing with complete mo--ns on every level.

Will they revert back to the things that worked?

all of the other major insurance companies are sending fied techs to physically inspect vehicles to service their customers claims quickly. Allstate doesn't care anymore about their customers. Customer survey scores are no longer a priority, the... — read more

Executives- Private vs Commercial flying

Do Wilson and Co have to fly commercial like the rest of us, or do they get to fly on a Allstate private get, such as a Gulfstream 550 or something similar whenever they travel?

Those whose offices closed

For those of you that had offices closed( particularly Esurance folks), did they decide to make everyone WAH, or are they making you potentially drive further to the next nearest office. Not sure how this would work, as it is my understand some... — read more

Claims Function Streamlining

We had a claims leadership meeting this morning that was visited by home office. In it they talked about a new upcoming initiative to streamline the claims handling functions into an "all in one" method. They praised virtual claims handling as the... — read more

What are the advantages of the office?

I can't find any. Not just for the employee but the employer as well. You'd think that being able to cut office costs and enjoy the increased productivity (and I think the majority of us are more productive from home) would be enough to make sure WFH... — read more

Braggarts seem to have a better status

Do you feel that your efforts go unnoticed here? I'm not a person who likes to brag about my achievements at work, so I guess that's why all my efforts go unnoticed. I find it funny when I see those who boast of even the smallest of achievements, but... — read more

Two Months in the Shop

Got a call this evening from a shop that has not one but two vehicles waiting on Allstate....that have been there for TWO MONTHS now! We really are a laughing stock.

SafeAuto

Just got an email that Allstate is purchasing SafeAuto and they will become apart of National General. This will be interesting to say the least.

It’s only gotten worse

I was with Allstate for almost a quarter of a century when I decided to leave a year ago. This used to be known as an outstanding company to work for and some even considered it the best. Regrettably, the qualities in leadership has acutely... — read more

Allstate Life Operations in Lincoln Nebraska

If this is how problems are solved

that would be easy. Do top dogs really think all the problems here will go away if they cut people or motivate them to leave on their own? It seems to me that this is the only thing management is capable of doing, unfortunately. At one point I... — read more
