While not layoff related, a rare appearance by our esteemed leader discussing the hurricanes and varied impacts. Quite a bit about digitization, price to risk, roof rating, and other variables that impact our decision to write business and/or how... — read more

I hope rumors about October are not true

I really can’t afford to lose the job. I’m stretched thin right now, and having a bad period in my life. You know, one of those perfect storms. What energy I have is split between handling all the problems and trying to do my best at work. I just... — read more

Toohey fired.

Huge flops with artificial intelligence and new programs in HR complete failure. Can’t help but wonder if his errors enabled the breach of security and employee information being hacked last year.

People on this site are strong

This is in response to certain voices on this site who believe the people who post here are whining wimps. On the contrary, the people on this site are a large block of sc--wed over corporate America insurance company workers. Allstate leads that... — read more

Newbie here

Will layoffs be in October for sure? Or rumors are based on the usual way things are done? Are the last ones employed more likely to be first to go, or there are other criteria for layoffs? I’m just worried I’ll be out before I warm up my chair. — read more

India takeover

Allstate is quadrupling the India reps. If you are a claim rep, prepare for more issues and to be blamed for customer frustration. I will say some of the reps are good but they are impossible to connect with and customers simply are not pleased.
