Searching for opportunities

As much as I wanted to stay with this company, the stress is getting to be too much to deal with. I haven’t even been told I’m laid off, but I can’t stand waiting either. The only concern I have is that I’d need health insurance immediately with... — read more

LDU

Does anyone know what is going on with LDU? In Arizona they are taking everlasting more states claims with no answers as to why. For example, Texas and Kansas claims.. and everyone is being told that come November, you won’t know if you will even... — read more

Any News on Allstate Financial??

Will Allstate keep the broker dealer going? Are they requiring new agents to get their Series 6? Are they keeping all the life insurance requirements for the agents and whatever sales leaders are left?

Can’t sleep

I’m up can’t sleep. This is not healthy. I need out ASAP! I’m financially worried. I’m a single mother with a small child. I have no strength to give this company anymore of my energy. I’m trying to stay positive. All I can do is pray. I’ve started... — read more

When will we be transitioning to our new leaders

My manager is being eliminated and she is acting funky about telling us when we will transition and our new managers name. A hint was mentioned today but didn’t elaborate. I really don’t like the manager anyway. We find out changes through other... — read more

Offices closing

Many posts have talked about different offices closing with more coming. Doubt many of us will still be working with the same people. Thoughts as we are still in this........

Letting go

I was happy that my job was straight eliminated. No assessment to give me false hope – just a kick in the pants to jumpstart the next chapter of my professional life. And even if this sounds a bit arrogant, I won't be applying to any jobs at... — read more

Se are exhausted

This layoff process is getting old. Everyone is weak and drained!

Allstate doesn't put employees in good hands

So, LDU, only hand full of employees in our office. Interesting, how my numbers are better than 1/2 of who they kept. Sounds a little fishy. Also, how the hell are you still giving me new claims and say, I'm still an employee. You really think... — read more

HO - cuts across all departments

I work in HO. There were major cuts across all departments. There were even cuts in Marketing, where the company is supposedly “investing resources” to drive TG. Many on my team were working 10-12 hour days before the cuts to try to keep up with... — read more

Disappointed

Has anyone who received their package noticed the list of people with no names, just titles and ages who were let go? It was like 146 pages of employees who were given notices.

Protect yourself and be curious!

I wish the American workforce was smarter and learned to look after themselves and their families. A company’s actions internally are a bullhorn if you are smart enough to pay attention! In Allstate’s case, the day they announced the change in... — read more

How much more outsourcing

I’ve watched a ton of jobs go either overseas (where labor is cheap) or they are replaced by technology and AI. Nothing enrages a customer more than the inability to reach someone by phone that fluently speaks their language. Their other locations... — read more

I Wish the Best For You

As a retired Allstate Claim employee, it deeply saddens me to see what the company has become and how you are now being treated. The benefits were very good for our “generation”, the work was fun, and we cared about the customer and the company. With... — read more

What’s next?

I don’t want to wait until late October to know our date.

Are salary reductions next?

Been wondering what's the next thing Allstate could throw our way this year... With the coronavirus as an excuse, I could see them instituting a temporary salary reduction that could easily turn into something permanent. Not sure what else is left to... — read more

Retiree Medical Subsidy GONE!

And now they take away the only retirement benefit left. The emails went out today from HR. If you started before 2003 and are not retirement eligible before 12/31/2020 you don't get the retiree medical discount. What a sh–ty thing to do.

Single people vs families

Neither Mild Nor Temporary

The biggest mistake one can make, and most have, is to assume this economic crisis will be mild or temporary. You'll want to assume that it is, since that path requires you to make no hard decisions or changes to your life. For most, the downturn... — read more
