Since they’re not sharing detail with everyone, just what group you are personally in, what jobs are moving to India? I’m assuming the comments that mention it refer to ABO gaining something more than they already do?
ASSESSMENTS!
I dont think Allstate knows who they want to lay off! I think they are using an assessment to decide. Or they already know who and just saving face. This is just weird! Makes no sense. Tired of all the waiting. Thank you tho. This pushed me to go... — read more

Assessment Results
Will we have a legal right to know our assessment results of fired. What if we know we have high meets or exceeds the past two years, have 20 years tenure and then get fired. We’d have to do miserable on the assessment to even be let go.
When is the next round of layoffs?
Are they only doing them in big groups at the end of months or are the continually laying off individuals during the month?
Allow older employees to retire so the young can stay
Why can Allstate let the older employees at retirement age retire with a package. What a horrible time to lay off people with unemployment being at the highest rate and worries about Covid. Shame on Allstate.
Enough is Enough
all of this speculation is causing unnecessary stress and anxiety. Allstate needs to post all of the roles that are not being effected, redundant or being eliminated. Offices that are being closed need to be communicated company wide along with... — read more

Targeted Retirement Offer (TRO)
A targeted retirement offer to employees who are 55 and older would have been a wiser strategy. These individuals have very few years left in their careers so it’s difficult to argue that this loss of talent would have a major impact to the... — read more

There Is No Loyalty Between Employers and Employees

7700 are NOT being laid off/eliminated
7,700 have been identified as redundant jobs that's why you are taking an assessment so they can figure out in your department who to keep and let go. So 3,700 of that 7,700 will be laid off. YW.

This is only round one
For those who make this cut, once the merger is complete and all those additional bodies come on board..... get ready for round two.....
Be careful what you wish for..
The “sigh of relief” from those left behind will end....once the transfer of work from those laid off begins and the new work continues to roll in like a Hurricane...... 2/3 of the people to do all of the work..... Have fun!!!
