Big talk and no action?

This is a problem for most people in general, and especially here, they complain a lot and do little to escape from this awful company. How many applications have you submitted? I allowed my manager’s horrible behavior for only one month. The next... — read more

Legg Townhall

Had all the other sc*m bags-HR VP & McFluffy When it came to benefits being screwd from older workers, he basically said "Go listen to mc fluffy's talk (who had already disconnected by then). Sorry you don't want to hear this but I'm not... — read more

Too many product offerings

One of the problems with AT&T, is that there are too many services in our portfolio, most of which we do not have the technical expertise to design and operate. Consider our sad Cloud product. That thing is broken more than it works. Also look at... — read more

Outplacement services

Assuming no but wondering if the company has offered resources to anyone let go the past few years? Any insight into which companies? Need to update resume and thinking recruiter/career coach who knows AT&T or can translate telecom on paper might be... — read more

Return to Office

Heard there will be a communication regarding returning to office coming out tomorrow. Seems to be targeting a July timeframe. Any info out there?

Tech shortage.

Hearing from a former coworker that T is offering employees $600 for employees referrals if they hire and a signing bonus if the new hire stays past 90 days in Indiana. What a sad state the company is in if they can’t keep new hires. I was told... — read more

I equate Stephenson and Stankey with the following

Elizabeth Holmes and Enron, Bernard Madoff, The Enron Gang Skilling Fastow and Lay. Only thing is I consider these groups smarter as Stephenson and Stankey never fooled anyone. They were enabled by a impotent board of directors. But the financial and... — read more

I’m ashamed to work at AT&T

Once, when people asked me where I work I was proud to say where I work. Now it is the opposite. Usually, the only talk about this company that I hear is talking about poor and overpriced services so I try to avoid the topic. That and the fact that I... — read more

Stankey Stock Purchase

Stankey buys $1million of AT&T stock, however he a got $2 million bonus for buying TW, and the BOD will probably give him another $2 million for selling TW!

You worry a lot about something you can’t change

Unfortunately, I doubt that we as employees can change something here. At the same time, I do not think that employees should suffer in silence, everyone has the right to express their complaints, but we should not expect that anything will change... — read more

What can HR do?

Let's just say for a moment that HR actually cared about the employees (yeah, I know, ridiculous). What could they do to improve morale when it's the c-suite that's the cause of the problem? Mismanagement, arrogance, epic failure after epic... — read more

WFH

How many people are still working from home?

What do you think about this?

Amazon just dropped 8B on The purchase of MGM. Did T make a mistake spinning off WB too early? What does Amazon know that T doesn't know? I realize T will still own 70% of WB, but I have a feeling Stankey just got hoodwinked.

Why doesn't HR try to improve morale?

HR is useless, they sit around doing nothing in an attempt to improve morale at at&t. Maybe they would not be successful but why not try? Don't they realize how bad it is? Maybe they just don't care.

Does outsourcing really reduce costs?

My organization has been outsourcing jobs for 30+ years and we are now 20/80 employees to contractors. I still have yet to see an actual cost reduction. On paper to appears the cost savings will be material but in reality the outsourcing ends up... — read more

Who should replace Stankey?

Everyone is calling for Stankey to resign (along with the BoD) but be careful what you wish for as his replacement could be worse and will probably be paid even more. Do we bring someone from the outside or promote from within? Let's see some... — read more

AT&T Stock Price

AT&T will not get above $32 and will settle at $25 when TW is unloaded and the new dividend takes effect. Stankey’s purchase of $1 million on stock pales in comparison to the $30 billion of market value lost!!

How much priority do you give to job search?

I have noticed that people start looking for work more actively only after rumors appear that layoffs are coming. As soon as they survive the round of cuts, they look for work much less actively. That is a probably in human psychology, I guess, but... — read more

AT&T Is All About (The) Performance

If I had a Dime

Is corporate doing anything?

ERG’s and being Woke

How long before these things are diminished or halted? It seems a lot of energy and labor goes into these efforts. What else is labor and cost intensive that we can’t afford?
