One reason for delay in layoffs..

VP slots have been recently filled and ranking completed. T knows that they are going to get sued for discrimination when layoffs happen. They are going through review based on race/s-x/age (in that order) in an attempt to mitigate their liability... — read more

What happened this week?

Maybe this reorg is what's really needed

First, I truly feel bad for anyone whose job is eliminated. My own brother was let go in January, 2019 after 20 years with the company. I've worked with a lot of great folks in my long career, and it's sad to see some go that weren't prepared. .. — read more

3400 layoffs is nothing out of ordinary at AT&T

They have CONSISTENTLY laid off 4,000 to 5,000 people per quarter in 2018 and 2019. Seems like they can easily process 10 to 15 people in the department of Inhuman Resources.
