Wirth Discussing or not?
Was anybody else shocked at the amount of softballs that were hit during the Town Hall today? It seems to me that our leadership's message and actions are inconsistent and the tension is rising in regards to merit based selections and the focus on... — read more
BP Cuts Dividend
Chevron would never do something silly like that.
Joe doesn’t want to speak with us
Papa G clearly doesn’t care to talk about FT. Disappointed about the radio silence for months. Good luck in the round.
Easy to predict...
The layoff percentage numbers are meaningless without knowing the details. I predict most selections will be easy to predict: 1) If your job is needed and you are filling the position well you will keep it; 2) If your job is needed and you are... — read more

Mid-year Assessments
Now that we've spent millions of dollars and thousands of hours to rebrand the PMP, anyone feel like they actually got better feedback at their Mid-Year Assessment?
Will the HR selections in R3 be based on qualifications?
After a handful of unqualified candidates were selected and promoted in HR during R2, it is obvious HR did it's part to pump up some corporate numbers that are being shared externally. Will the selections be based on more of the same? Or, will the... — read more
Not all jobs are open - Round 3
Looks like not all people or positions are open or need apply. What's the method used to say who is in and who isn't? Is it the position? Merit? Diversity? It's a sad day if this is based on gender or ethnicity.
R3 - EOI question
If I apply for an EOI in R3, and I am notified in early September, how much longer would I need to work at CVX? Can I line up another job, and if so when can I tell my new employer I can start?
How enthusiastically would you reapply for a job at Chevron?

How bad is Gorgon’s problem with the heat exchanges?

End of year planning...60 days and severance? Or no...
Just curious how it works if we receive notification that we are left standing after the last round in October. Do we get paid through the 60 day review period then receive severance?
EOI Question
My strategy is to EOI in round 4. If I wait until the last minute (October 11) to announce my intentions, will I be notified with the rest of round 4 participants that my EOI was accepted? It looks like the 60 day period to accept the severance... — read more
CEO direct reports diversity

The truth (well maybe sometimes)
Corporate restructuring is expensive. Those who are laid-off in the energy patch often get generous severance packages, pension payouts and job placement services. That costs the company big money. Productivity usually drops off a cliff during... — read more
