Round two bust

I don’t know about your area, but from what I could see Round 2 was a bust. The same old faces, including mostly mentally unstable old white guys along with a smattering of truly whacked white women. All the losers people expected to retire lost... — read more

Round 2 results

Interesting round 2 results and some of the names that didn't appear on any of the lists, especially IT.

Why now?

Who thought a major acquisition in the middle of a pandemic with no end in sight (and guaranteed long term consequences on our industry once it does end) is a great idea? Was it really necessary to do this right now? Can somebody tell me any... — read more

Employees with Chevron toy car collections

Some of the sadder sights back in the days we worked in offices was seeing people with collections of toy gas station cars in their offices. I don’t mean the fabulous Texaco scale tanker trucks, I mean those id–tic Chevron toys with the freaky faces... — read more

Round 3 Results?

Anyone hear about round 3 results? Was it the same chaos as round 2?

Question for IT

Not directly layoff related but only to make the point how CVX is not great at being digital...question is why is skype still up and working like normal after making such a big deal of it going away?

CVX Acquires Noble Energy

Since the "Transformation" is going so well, might as well through a wrench into things by making an acquisition at the same time.

So When Do These Large Layoffs Actually Happen?

It seems that Chevron is taking months and months to put together a layoff plan and then months and months more to follow through. At least everyone is getting a few extra pay checks.

EOI payment turn around time?

Curious if anyone has received their benefit yet (Severance) and how long process took to get cash? All I have is "one week after final date you get email, you respond, we hold for 7 days, then payment made when prudent"...Thanks.

Chevron in 3 decades??

With renewables and electric car growth will chevron still be around in 3 decades? If not then EOI looks more attractive. What do you think?

Did anybody, ever have a positive experience with our HR? A situation in which they came out of thinking, "well, that was great and really helpful?" Because I'm honestly starting to think that HR is the most useless department in this company and... — read more

Triple Crown

I'm hearing about a new effort called Triple Crown that ETC is pushing, and it sounds like a mess. Will anything good come of this?

Is this normal supervisor behavior?

My boss reschedules my 1 on 1 ‘s regularly, has very minimal feedback for me, and never asks in depth questions about what I’m doing. Goes purely based off what is on my workday goals and what a few people tell him. Every time I reach out it feels... — read more

Workplace Morale

I don’t know about you, but it feels like workplace morale is gone. Bosses and leadership try to be positive but we all see right through it. I’m ready for EOI now, don’t drag it out, let’s just get on with it.

Round 2 is a mess

Word on the street is that Round 2 is a mess. They started at PSG 30 but leaders couldn’t agree on who got the job and who got whacked. They finally compromise by giving some of them PSG 29 jobs. This made things worse at that grade, so a bunch of... — read more

Are employees who EOI required to post for jobs?

I am strongly considering EOI. Am I required to post for jobs if I EOI? Assuming I don’t have to post but the company does not accept my EOI, then am I at risk of being placed in a job that I did not want nor post?

ABU
