Seems like during the unocal deal we had to re-apply for our jobs. Will this be handled like a ROM?

This question bugs me, I admit. If that is indeed the case, to what degree could they plan to cut at Chevron? Is there a clause in the merger deal that prevents Chevron from firing Anadarko employees after the merger?

When companies merge many times there is a generous severance package for anyone who loses their job. I wonder how good the CVX package will be. Could be a perfect time to bail out.

WTI crude oil is closing in to $60/barrel. Saudi Arabia keeps cutting production to maintain price. This is good news for now. Permian production keeps going up. The day will come when continued cuts will stop. Then what? You can figure that one out.

Does anyone know how the pay compares between Exxon & Chevron? Salary bands, etc?
