Has anyone taken advantage of the Chevron Education Assistance for folks who were affected by the ROM/ESP ? Apparently they will pay up to 75% of tuition. Is there a time limit to apply ? what kind of programs qualify ?

Oil is on its way up..

Expect 70s and 80s by year end. Chevron and other companies will be scrambling to hire again. Oil stocks are already starting to sizzle.

it sure has gotten quiet since the ESP last week

posts to this forum dropped almost 90% since the days around ESP layoffs (April 7 - 11) and even the months before. I guess the folks who got laid off don't want to vent and the ones who still have jobs don't want to share any more gossip.

Doha failure and aftermath

Crude is tumbling in Asian trade. Wont be surprising to see crude plumb new depths in the weeks to come. Could very well set the tone for more jobs on the chopping block.
