Have surgery while employed, or wait until after ESP
I have had a surgery scheduled for mid-April, and it has been scheduled for almost 6 months. The recuperation time is expected to be 3-6 months, and I do not know if I should postpone it until after the ESP results are in and I either have a job, or... — read more
We are not deadwood!!
I would just like to tell the people who are involved in ESP that you are not deadwood, as some sick individuals on this site say. We are in the midst of an oil price crisis and cuts need to be made. This is not our fault, and those who seek to... — read more
Does the Chevron severance plan restrict former employees from posting on this web site?
When I was laid off from a former employer several years ago, there was a clause in the severance package restricting former employees from saying "bad things" about the former company and also contacting employed managers. Does anyone know if the... — read more
Price in the 30s will prevail at least 5 more years. Chevron has bet the entire operation on the hope that things turn much sooner.
Chevron cannot outlast this storm paying the dividend. Even not paying the dividend, we are vulnerable. Nthe Moody's downgrade is only a sign of things to come. When we are unable to divest assets, the pressure inreases. The divestmest goal of... — read more

What the hell is up with the cubicle hats?
I've noticed a few on the tops of cubicles in 1600 & 1500. Yeah, I know an individual may have an extream sensitivity to crappy fluorescent lighting, but have you stopped to considered how it looks to have one of those on top of your cube. As far as... — read more
Moody's downgrades CVX'S credit rating to an Aa1
Yarington and Watson in 4th QT earnings call tried their best to convince investors that they shouldon't not be downgraded. Strong balanve sheet they yelled from the roof tops. But it was not heard by Moody's. Exxon is still at a AAA but negative... — read more

DWEP HAS TOO MANY REDUNDANT POSITION, THEY NEED TO LAYOFF SOME PEOPLE

Are merit increases a sign of safety?
Would a merit increase also indicate safety in the upcoming ROM?
Did anyone get a merit raise?
Just wondering if anyone got a merit raise. I haven't had my meeting yet, but so far I haven't heard of anyone else getting a raise. Of course, a 0% raise sure beats unemployment.
Anybody Else Net a Pay Decrease?
Since the Petrotech supplement went from 8% to 5% I'll make less money in 2016 than 2015. Did this happen to anybody else? I guess that guy asking why we don't trim salaries across the board kind of got his wish.
Negotiating severance terms
I would assume that the terms are standard and non-negotiable for the Chevron severance...but I thought I'd go ahead and ask. Did anyone try to negotiate some different terms? For health care, or end date, or anything?

You need to get involved with what is going in DWEP before we make the news papers. Financial stewardship is important but not at the risk of a fatality or environmental spill. The leadership changes are not good.

Can you roll severance into 401(k)?
A question to those who have already received a severance. Did you have the option of taking the severance in a lump, or having it put in your 401(k)? If so, was the tax deferred? Were you given the option of rolling your annuity into the 401(k) as... — read more

Secret ESP for PG 29 and above.
