With all the mandated expense cuts and layoffs going on, has any Business Unit or Work Group eliminated or drastically changed its policy on Holiday parties and off site luncheons this year?

Chevron currently has 14 open positions listed on their job search. Several of them were just posted on the 7th and are only open for 1 week, which probably means they already have someone for the position but have to post it for legal reasons.

What do you think?

Anyone knows how the unused vacation is paid out? Today I received my last check :( But no unused vacations was included. I know I should ask HR, but find it more therapeutic to hear from this board (when the posts are not about gloom and doom)
