As many of you can see the higher leadership positions have been sliced in half for most functions. These employees are now going to take mid level technical working team lead jobs. That is where this discussion is going anyways. I firmly push back... — read more

In order to soar like eagles, we must first get rid of the turkeys. Chevron is full of middle management folks who shuffle emails instead of doing actual work. Lean and mean companies do not need them. The future is bright for those who have skills.

Appalling --- John Watson was not present at the Earnings Conference Call on July 31.
It really is appalling to me that John Watson did not attend the 2Q 2015 Chevron Earnings Conference Call on July 31. This was Chevron's worst quarter in 13 long years, and our CEO didn't have the guts to be there to take questions from the analysts... — read more

Are Chevron people employable?
I came into Chevron from outside. From what I've seen, I don't think many Chevron employees will be successful in the open job market. A typical Chevron employee spends 1/3 to 1/2 of his or her time on corporate bullshit, instead of real work that... — read more

6.5 billion 2nd qtr earnings vs 600 million 3rd qtr earnings????
We went though the first ROM in 2010 and no one seemed to know why. Coincidentally it happened soon after John Watson became CEO. Some research revealed that when he arrived he was making 33M per year and right after the ROM was given a 12% raise... — read more
Hi from Exxon
My God is Chevron this broken. Take a look at Exxon's posts. Most are 9 moths old. Exxon is a rather draconian company. Saying that, I am floored by the over riding themes on this board. Did you consider leaving before the down turn? I would think... — read more

Chevron Profit Earning is Embarrassing
With this performance, they need to conduct a project called "GET RID OF MANAGEMENT" and fire all of the managers. This performance compares to BP and Shell and even EXXON is petty, ONLY $571 MM profit and 30 cents per share....wow

Why not sending the EXPATS go back to their home BUs and create more jobs for US pay rolled employees.
