DEI is to Blame But Not Why You Think

DEI has ki-led this company, but it isn't why you think. Sure, it helped usher in plenty of undeserving advancements or check the box hires. But let's be honest AA has done that for decades and there also are some great people that came via that... — read more

Selection committee??

Any idea of who will be determining our fates? I’ve heard it may be people who don’t even know us which is why we were instructed to update our talent cards.

I'm most likely gone

I joined less than six months ago, and I’m already convinced I’ll be out of a job once the reorg kicks in. I’m so pi---d. I turned down another offer for this. I actually thought I was lucky to get this opportunity. Yeah, right. I might be young, but... — read more

SJV hanging in there

#1 in company in beating OPEX plan #2 in company in cash to corp New trajectory showing excess of 100MM cash back to corp thru 2028. Not too shabby for being on deaths door according to those on this site.

IT is a sinking ship

What message does it send up and down the whole organization to see what’s gone on so far: External contractor that was expected to become the head of data and insights - GONE for who knows what after just 2-3 months. Highly regarded chief info... — read more

Advantage to Chevron’s slowness

Watching how quickly layoffs happened at Salesforce and Workday for once, makes me glad that Chevron is so slow. At least we have a chance to prepare for layoffs. Get your resume ready and start applying. The job market is tight and getting tighter... — read more

Major cuts

I heard we are no longer going to get free snacks in our break rooms because people are taking the Kind Bars home. Does anybody know if this is true? My kids are going to be so disappointed!

I finally found a solid job

Small company, oil&gas adjacent. The pay isn't as high, but the lower stress and improved work-life balance more than make up for it. Honestly, I don't care about the salary anymore—just as long as I can cover my bills, I'm good. It took me over eight... — read more

Bonus Payout Timing

If I put in my 2-week notice exactly 2 weeks before bonus payout (last working day would be bonus payout day), will I receive the bonus? Has anyone done something similar in the past or know of anyone else's experience with this? Thanks

Bloomberg Softballs

Anyone catch the Bloomberg interview with MW? Talk about content light! How about asking what is happening with reserves? 7% production increase is great, but when 20% of is low margin domestic, what about international? Impact to revenue and... — read more

Raises?

What do we think raises will be? We've got a 2% structure and a 1.1 CIP. I'm hoping for a higher raise but not sure if I think that will happen.

Horizons

Can anyone confirm if it's at least some what more safe to be horizons in your first 2 or 3 years? Assuming the horizons person is skilled.

Megathread - Reorg Official Announcements

It’s getting hard to keep track and CVX keeps it compartmentalized, so can we please post what re-orgs and reductions have been officially announced? I heard JG told his folks they were losing 20% in CNE.

O&M Bonus Raises

1 what’s that come out to percentage wise? Heard raises were 3%.

MCBU is a joke

Are we seriously having the same people decide the reorg structure and outcomes who got us into this mess in the first place!? With all their goofy ideas and non-value adding positions they created over the past 3 years to only give them another... — read more

We have so many useless employees

Not to mention layers and layers of useless managers. I'm willing to bet my house that 90 percent of them - if not more - will still be here after the dust settles. I've survived several layoffs at Chevron, and not once did they get rid of the actual... — read more

How many do we expect to be laid off?

I hope we will find out immediately, and not be in the dark on the actual scope of layoffs for the whole duration of reorg. At least we would have a somewhat better sense of how much each of our jobs is in peril. I’ve been looking for an alternative... — read more

Has anyone been told to update your talent card?

Recently found out some teams, including mine (MCBU-Production Services) have been asked to update their talent cards because that is how the secret group is going to decide how people will be chosen to keep their their current role, transitioned... — read more

CL is out

CL is out, like some posters below predicted. Bets on who's going to replace him?

Ok now to layoffs

Seeing a 900 Millions allocated to severance package and stuff .. if you divide that by 175k that's average annual employee salary gives you ~5200.. I would could it somewhere 7000. That's the layoff # I am guessing. That's what ~ 15%.

Maternity leave during reorg

If I have to take maternity leave during 3rd quarter this year, how will I participate in the ROM? Has anyone gone through reorg while pregnant?

Head Count

If the latest rumors are true, this is the list I have of senior leadership “retirements” and resignations over the past year: EN, GM of Data BB, CIO AW, VP Corp Affairs RM, VP HR CL, Head of Cyber NH, VP CP, VP Midstream LM, Executive Advisor to... — read more

Tariffs

By all accounts DJT has said he wants tariffs permanently in order to bring in money that way. What's the impact on the economy and Chevron in particular? Any impact or expansion of the layoffs for us?

Empty parking spots

Mgmt loves to say the building is empty but the only emptiness I see is the dozens and dozens of empty reserved spots…..leadership is the problem.

EOI call

If you are 58-60 or above, would it be better to EOI than getting fired without a package later in year when that role moves to Engine ?

$715MM severance

Did anyone notice the $715MM severance charge they took in the 4th quarter? Is this a move to lessen all the upcoming EOI’s or have they already paid this to the lucky execs that have been shown the door? Way to continue to cut cost EB
