Will DEI impact the ROM?

18 year employee here, and now I have convinced myself that maybe taking the next exit could possibly be the right move. Anyway, I’m curious on other’s thoughts on DEI at Chevron. A company who claims to be color blind really can’t be while also... — read more

Why don’t Trump intervene to offshoring of jobs

Big oils Exxon and Chevron are offshoring American Jobs to cheaper countries. We should tag POTUS and our senators to raise the issue. American data should not be processed at offshore countries. I think this will protect this round of job... — read more

BOD & ELT Must Go! It's time

Today's earnings release performance was a CLEAR indicator that the board has lost its way. MW just doesn't cut it any more. EB was a disaster. It's time for a board refresh and for MW to move on. He's old. It's ok to move on. Doesn't look like any... — read more

4Q earnings call

Did anybody else feel that MW started the call with very low energy and then became almost agitated and called out Investor Relations guy for allowing some off-script questions to be asked? Thoughts? Also, can we please get EB some coaching to stop... — read more

Question on relocation

What happens if they ask you to move locations to keep your job and you don’t want to move? Can you decline? Do you still get severance ?

Once again losing to Exxon

Exxon focused on growing the business via exploration and MCPs. Chevron can’t even meet analyst earnings even when we are in cash harvest mode (look at our reserve replacement ratio in 2024, yikes). God I can’t wait until MKW gets canned after Hess... — read more

Oronite

any rumor on what is going to happen to oronite?

The important things

Glad to see MW was so busy changing the report wording to Gulf of America to appease his government overlords instead of actually focusing on the cr-ppy earnings themselves. Who cares about refining taking the first loss in four years when you can... — read more

What it’s gunna take for IT to work in ENGINE

I’ve been here for 10+ years, and the problem Chevron has is too many leaders who don’t know enough to hold employees accountable. It’s night and day from my last gig where leaders knew more than almost anyone on their team and could step in and do... — read more

No reserves were replaced in 2024

Today's earnings show has a horrifying Reserves story on slide 22. A healthy growing oil company adds more to reserves than they deplete through production. Adding the same amount we produced would be a 100% reserve replacement ratio, which is... — read more

Gulf of America

What a joke. Q4 earnings presentation has gulf of America all over it. Sad that our leaders caved to ridiculousness and stupidity. Let’s be real: the name is so DJT can get a hard on.

lol missed eps

Big dip in downstream prod and margins. Made some $$, but missed eps… “Chevron also said it expects to maintain its share buyback program of $10 billion to $20 billion per year” Glad we’re focused on the right stuff…

Ready to EOI… coming soon…

Sad

What a sad statement of how far chevron has fallen. Corporate greed and zero employee loyality. Making record profits and so much money and all they think about is how can we cut more jobs and make more profit. Glad I retired when the company... — read more

Measuring Contest

We are a profitable company like plenty have said. Is all of this just a CEO 🐓 measuring contest?

Left standing

Think we are all applying for the available jobs or will they repopulate org chart?

HOU office ghost town

My observations about returning to the Houston office for the first time since 8 years ago: Holy moly! People are really milking this flex work schedule. Not only are you only required to go into the office three days a week, but I went downstairs... — read more

Human Energy

MW definitely needs to share some energy as he's sapped the energy of every employee with his cuts and changes. No one has any left so productivity is done. MW makes us all feel like a piece of ...

Fruit in ABU

So it's official, they've cut the Perth office down from free Fruit twice a week to only once a week. That's it I'm quitting and going to Woodside. They may never have had free Fruit to begin with, but at least they never had it taken away.

HMP is just plain d-mb

This modernization project has to be about the d-mbest thing they have come up with yet. I cannot imagine what “genius” decided to follow the likes of Exxon and Shell on this one, but why not? We copy them on everything because our leadership is... — read more

Chevron, BP, Shell

Pretty sure we are all using the same firm and formula. They are both ahead of our schedule. Might want to look into BP and Shell sites as foreshadowing.

Pay Determination

does anyone have information on the date when pay determination results will be released to employees?

The end of Agile?

Will this finally be the time that all the job titles with agile in them go away?

Reorg/layoffs - latest rumblings

Yes team leads/managers created lists in latter part of 2024 of what positions can be moved. Doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be moving, but is added to the overall option. It was a difficult list to create. New high-level org charts and new job... — read more

Are new hires (<1 year) safe from layoffs?

I’ve heard time and again that new hires, less than 1 or 1.5 years experience out of university, have been safe from previous layoffs. Will this go-around be different or is there still some safety in being new?

What does GVCS do?

Other than track what the BUs are doing what does GVCS do? The reorg had better absorb or shrink this team. So many people on that team, but what do they deliver??
