In the OPG townhall it was mentioned that in 2019 we were #1 and then after 2020 we dropped to where we are now. A good lesson that layoffs and all the constant change has crushed the business. Our current management strategy is try more of that with... — read more
Applying for a job in Chevron
Makes any sense at this moment? You guys expect layoffs in the coming period? I lost a job in the industry last week, and am trying to figure out where to start looking. Thanks for any info/advice.
OPG Townhall Discussion
Let's go! Great music to start with. Good music to be laid off to.
Why does management keep saying we have the best people?
Does anyone actually believe that? We definitely don’t.
Do we need CTC subsurface ?
They think too much of themselves and continue to waste BU time and resources. Zero accountability for BU success and use us as a science experiment. Chevron is probably better off letting go half of them so they cause less trouble for the... — read more
How to survive
For those who survived rounds of layoffs before, how did you do it or why do you think you made it?
IT SFA "Resource Reassignment"
Who thinks the latest email from IT Talent management with code name "Resource Reassignment" is a euphemism for reassignment out the door?! I'll be looking left and right for signs of the shepherd's hook to pull me off the CVX stage!
Shared Service Center
Which organizations have shared service centers? Finance? HR? Procurement? Will they build a CTC in India?
Pushing RTO will lose good employees..
I did the math. It costs me $25 / day, $300 / month (assuming 12 in office days per month) to come to work for gas, tolls, parking, etc. All to sit alone in a cold office on Teams meetings, for the ‘cUlTuRe and ColLaBoRaTiOn’ smh… But thanks for... — read more
MW and Layoffs
For anyone who has worked with MW does he really love layoffs like he makes it seem? The way things work it makes it look like it's his automatic go to way of growing the dividends. That and the obsession with working in the office is unreal to me... — read more

Any thoughts?
ROM Names
Who comes up with our ROM names? We had Transform to Win and now Leading Performance. I love the snazzy names that make me feel good as everyone is being let go!
What’s the minimum raise?
Myself and a few others I know got sub 1% raises. Less than inflation increase. Isn’t there a 2-3% minimum?
Leading Performance ROM
When will layoffs begin for Leading Performance? Anyone have any idea how much the cut will be this time? Will this layoff allow is to Win in any environment?
PSG change process
how long does it take to move to the next PSG ? Is it true that if you hit the median salary range for a given PSG, there's really not much of an increment unless you move to a higher PSG?
Deleted Post From Yesterday
I noticed this post (see below) from yesterday was deleted by the administrator…..but it didn’t have any names. It did though hit the mark with specific examples of ELT behaviors, so assuming CVX legal twisted admins arm to have it deleted. This... — read more
New Methods to increase shareholder return
What are some of the methods our management will use to increase dividends and share buybacks? We all know layoffs are lever #1. Salary cuts and no CIP next? They have already cut back on janitorial care. Any thoughts on having employees pitch in and... — read more
Do better!
Mike Wirth, this week in Bloomberg, “In 2023, Chevron produced more oil and natural gas than any year in our company’s history”. However, you, my fellow employees, got to do f$&@ing better because daddy wants a bigger yacht.

Anyone else notice this problem at Chevron/Texaco gas stations?
In the past several months, I have noticed that, when using a Chevron/Texaco gas card, several Chevron and Texaco gas stations are charging credit card prices for gas instead of the cash rate. Happened at stations in Georgia, Mississippi, and... — read more

Extended LTIP info?
Does anyone have any insight on how the process goes down for someone under psg26 getting the extended Ltip? Just curious if there’s a certain percentage cap on who gets it and the approval process once a supervisor nominates someone.
What would you do?
If you were MW, what would you do to right the ship. Who would fire first? (Group, person, department) What would you buy? What would you sell? What’s one thing you’ll do to fix CVX
Any trust left?
Does anyone have any trust left in our executive management? This is not the same company I hired onto 15 years ago. Its become a disgrace how its being run and how employees are being treated. Leading Performance = Transformation 2.0. So with the... — read more
Leading Performance
did we need a new committee to manage leading performance? did anyone actually understand what NH was blithering about in the TH? did he mean that our targets will now all have a performance wedge on top in order to be a “valued contributor?”
