Work Transition

For folks impacted by LR? Is there a standard process for work transition? Is the expectation to do it once? I keep getting several messages literally everyday with questions on how to do basic stuff . This is after shadowing me for months before... — read more

Cisco UK Update?

Any update on this? Saw the emails from SW. I was on maternity leave and deliberately stayed away from the stress filled flow of news. Really sorry for everyone who got affected. Is there any indicator that anyone is aware of regarding target BUs... — read more

It’s not 1929

Stop with the depression talk. At worst it’s the 1970s with a decade of stagflation, but inot a depression.

Are LR employees restricted to full internal positions?

I noticed that I have to sign into DUO before I can see open internal reqs, and that I'm restricted from clicking on some 'internal req' links. Are folks who were LR'd being excluded from viewing all available internal reqs?

Counter-offer - does Cisco do them, ever?

exploring other options outside Cisco, but have a solid tenure that's tough to walk away from. If I get an offer from a competitor, what's the Cisco approach to counter-offers? Never? Only to high performers, etc? Curious

Still no news on promos... what's the hold up?

In past few cycles I remember promos/merit being given at same time as bonus but this doesn't seem to be case anymore... wondering if they're waiting because we've just had layoffs? Does anyone know when we'll get news?

Did Cisco mislead the market?

Too much grapevine talk for this to be BS. Cisco appears to have incorrectly over-stated its recurring revenue projection. By a lot. Hence we missed FY24 target and voila! low CPF and low bonus. Seems Sales has (had?) a habit of giving away... — read more

Why does someone think lower IPF this year is normal?

Many guys said they did same performance but got lower IPF than previous year, which makes they feel unfair and unhappy. Someone commented the lower IPF is normal because of lower bonus budget. How does that comment make sense? The company factor... — read more

"Great idea, can you send me one slide describing this"

Short-term profit thinking

It makes me wonder when the people in charge will realize that chasing profit at any cost (which is in most cases loss of valuable employees) is just a recipe for disaster. In the end, this approach can destroy the company, leaving everyone, even... — read more

Proof you are going to a competitor?

I've heard if someone puts in their 2 weeks to go work for a competitor, then Cisco will have them leave immediately, but still pay them the 2 week notice. Does Cisco ask for proof of anything, like offer letter? Asking for a friend.

Cisco is nothing more than a Hire and Fire Company. There was serious layoff in our team and we hired 2-3 people at the same time in exchange. Worst , they joined only 1 week after the LR were released. This is sickening.
