Cold Blooded Terminations / Lack of Empathy

11 plus months into the year Crown Castle: Terminates us without warning, capped PTO payout at 120 hours (even if they were scheduled), no award of Reserve Stock Units, No 401K bonus, all done with cold blooded efficiency one week before Thanksgiving... — read more

Decimating the company

The problem is Chris Levendos. His track record is mediocre at best. He just decimated fiber operations by laying off all the experienced managers. He thinks he can create a hybrid technician. The problem is that technicians gravitated to their... — read more

Additional Layoffs 11/20/20

After the 406 layoffs yesterday, and the remaining employees and contractors being told their jobs were safe. More contract employees are getting calls and being laid off today in Fiber. It is an absolute bloodbath.

Layoffs

250 full-time employees and 150 contractors in Small Cell and Fiber. A lot of upper management positions were given the option of a severance or a demotion with a pay cut. Wish other employees had that option. If you didn’t get laid off in this round... — read more

Get ready for the brain drain at Crown

People might hold on in the short term due to current uncertainty in the job market. But if you don't think the smart people actually getting things done at crown are going to be looking for a new job to escape getting blind-sided by rolling waves of... — read more

406 total layoffs on 11/19/20

406 total. 250 were full time employees, the remainder were contractors. Lots of layoffs in construction and service delivery in the west. Layoffs seem targeted. Major issues with mismanagement and profitability in the CCFiber business. Records... — read more

It's done for now, but for how long?

I'm sure more will be announced if not before the end of the year, then in the first quarter of 2021. Don't be naive to think you're safe just because you survived this round.

11/19

The majority today 11/19 were contractors on the fiber side. Mostly South Florida. SDS was surprisingly left unscathed. Meeting tomorrow morning to probably announce more cuts.

Severance

Something like 8 weeks of pay plus 1 week per year of employment plus 50% of your bonus, no RSU. PTO payout of up to 120 hours. They touched on it quickly so that may not be exact but it's close.

Mostly high level positions

I left in 2018 on my own but I heard that they were after VPs and Directors mostly. That's what I heard. If you got cut - I am so sorry. For all of you that are still around - hang in there - things will improve. Good luck and all the best.

Negativity

I see that many folks are very negative on this board. Why are you with still with CC if you dislike the company that much? It's a frank question.

Where are all of the AMT & SBAC layoffs???

Oh wait, there aren't any because they apparently know how to operate and scale their business properly. Check out the differences in the "job opportunities" among the three companies. CC seems to be the only one that creates positions that do... — read more

EMT located in secret corporate bunker!

Perhaps the anxiety and sanity of remaining Crown employees could be alleviated & restored if some of the EMT came out of hiding to have a company conversation like we used to have quite regularly before they went into self-preservation mode. Not... — read more

Anybody else tired of this?

It's like we are having monthly layoffs now. Why can't they decide who they want to cut and then do it all at once? Going little by little is destroying my nerves and is definitely not helping my (or any of my coworkers') productivity. I need to go... — read more
