@OP Eisps aren't union.
They’ve already been offering packages to select groups. Mostly copper and call centers. If those people were smart they’d take it and use the money as a cushion to find another job. Instead they will ride it out thinking the union will protect them. Contract for California is up 9/2028. Watch how many people are no longer employed by the big red V.

Don't understand why the company won't just confirm its coming. Even if they don't offer it now, just say "hey we're going to offering a buyout in the 3rd or 4th quarter" i Don't see why that would be a bad thing giving people a heads up . Or maybe there is no buyout coming!
Eisp = 2% raise contract, good luck in 4 years when you are 70.
EISP, great. No EISP, then four more years of employment, guaranteed per contract. Also great. Would make sense for company to shed employees now and save three years of salary, but who knows.
