Thread regarding W.B. Mason layoffs

Essendant going down

Heads up, Looks like WB Mason's long time supplier is going down. Employees were giving 60 day notice yesterday. I'm sure the effects will be felt by customers and vendors far and wide. No severance pay for employees. No money to pay the bills.

@19x if WB still does business with Essendant they should look for another vendor ASAP. Oaks facility is closing Oct 3.

Pennsylvania is in the northeast, as far as I recall: https://distributionstrategy.com/2026/08/essendant-to-cut-531-jobs-across-four-states-as-restructuring-deepens/

What's this mean for WB?

Some employees got laid off from 3 locations. None of them in the northeast.
