RTO for IT

This nonsense of listening to leadership tell us why it’s “good for collaboration” - yet THEY live a time zone away…..? I’m all for it - if they move to Columbus and come to the office with us.

And - can someone please them how to say Gahanna?

@1mph Unjustly and unfairly amplifying their success as corrupt and virtue-less leaders and corporate governance by stealing everyone else's hard earned and well-deserved economic prosperity. No more Jeffrey Epsteineseque trafficking in human and civil rights and economic outcomes of ordinary Americans.

Pathological narcissism is a form of terrorism and the corporate leadership engaging in it are no less dangerous than Os--a bin Laden because they are an imminent threat to Americans well-being and American dream.

@1ha3 We-ponized incompetence and servile sycophantism gets promoted because it is no threat to and provides no glaring contrast to corporate leaderships' appalling mediocrity and utter lack of leadership qualities and integrity. The preeminence of conmen at AEP is a direct result of our company being a poorly regulated monopoly enabled by corruption and collusion with state and federal officials. "The only illegal bribe is the one you get caught paying."

It’s so stupid. I’ve lost so much respect for this company. I used to be proud to work for AEP but these id--ts in charge do nothing but lie and push ignorant initiatives. They care about safety unless you bring up having to drive to an office every day to do a remote job. The only collaboration I do is having to be constantly disrupted by people who have no regard for my personal or professional space and want to chit chat about their kids or their weekends or their house or whatever. I DON’T GIVE A SH-T! It’s disruptive and infuriating.

Now I have to come here, listen to people’s stupid conversations, smell people’s nasty perfume, walk by people smoking outside on my way in and smell that sh-t first thing in the morning, sit here at my desk and freeze because there’s no climate control, take a sh-t with four other guys in a muggy, unventilated bathroom…the list is endless.

I have to listen to d-mb sh-t that managers 20 years younger than me think up. “Ways of Working”…give me a break. Aren’t you just talking about work ethic? People have it or they don’t. They’re not going to be inspired by your dum--ss PowerPoint presentation. That’s the sh-t you guys sit around and think about?

We had to come back to the office because “in-person collaboration “ is SO important, yet Marc Reitter has all-hands calls on Teams so he can talk AT us and feel good about himself. We have a giant auditorium downstairs. Use it, a--hole. It’s so fu--ing important for us to be here in the building. Face us. Stand in the same room with us and be a pr--k to our faces.

Our leadership is a joke. Fu-k you, Reitter. You’re an a--hole. Of course, you know it…you hoped people would leave when you made us come back to the office. You said it out loud to a room full of people…dou--ebag. Fu-k Bill Fehrman too. “I have no hobbies”. No wonder you’re such a pr--k.

Hybrid was a fair compromise, it's never really been explained what was wrong with hybrid. Whatever it was, it was bigger than just AEP, as RTO has swept all across corporate America, regardless of the industry or nature of the business. Lots of theories but no definitive answers.
And we are also staring down the barrel of $4 a gallon gas soon, making that drive-in just to work at a computer terminal all day even more bitter.

It's obvious that AEP was not ready for this big RTO initiative in Columbus. They are making people move multiple times, construction in progress, and it's dirty/stinky in many areas. We aren't having collaboration, we have work disruption. More technical defects, breaks, and MI's than I have ever seen. The expectation to be in the office and then take everything home to keep working and be available 24x7 365 is terrible. Plus, people keep coming to work sick and then it spreads around. It would probably been more successful if they rennovated and then went to a hybrid model for working in the office.

Some deviants get off on disrupting other people's lives and exerting authority over them. They thrive in chaos and want everyone else to live in their dysfunctional dystopian world. Disrupting other people's orderly lives validates their narcissisms. They feel empowered by having control over others and exerting their authority without boundaries that respect individualism and liberty. Injustice imposed upon others gives them their illicit high and they have no impulse control. That is why the behave so aggressively when someone tries to reign them in and establish boundaries.

The majority must reject the abuse of authority and dysfunctional behavior that is harmful and unwarranted to protect their own well-being. This requires the majority to call out manipulative practices and abuses of authority that are disruptive and harmful,

Unless you're referring to territory in the Atlantic ocean, AEP exists in more than one time zone. It's RTO. It's not RTO to the corporate office in Columbus.
