Either
1) The company is split into two separate businesses: Snacks and Beverages, or North America and International.
2) The share price is effectively cut in half.

@1vm 💯
If you have a Beverage or snack counterpart May the odds forever be in your favor.
We need an outsider coming in as CEO. New perspective, but also leaning on seasoned employees who can help navigate. Stop offshoring everything because while you may cost-cut in the U.S., it’s not helping revenue overall. Lean on Insights, then leverage the front-line employees. Those two teams should work hand-in-hand.
PEP as it exists today is not long for this world, which is a good thing 😃
“ Why have a beverage, snack and foods sales rep go into the same account?”
Answer:
A) Because PepsiCo has made both beverage and food businesses, by themselves, hopelessly complex (for the employees AND more importantly- the customer)…
B) at a key account level - a typical customer meeting allows one barely enough time with decision maker(s) to properly and professionally present / overcome objections / sell-in perhaps one or two key agenda items … the PepsiCo way means customers need plenty of time just to figure out just how they might benefit from our margin-grabbing /one-sided bad programming ; customers already roll their eyes and are suspicious of the material we put in front of them
C) warehouse managers can’t handle (because they essentially don’t control) the idiocy of our beverage SKUs and out -of -stocks are crippling … most facilities don’t have the space or the labor to consolidate yet another business…
This concept sounds good in a corporate conference room when it’s rolled out by MBAs who spent little/no time in the field - but on an operational level it is doomed and will certainly implode
U.S.A separate from the rest of the world . The Trump way.
Spin off from international would be fantastic. But truth is we are just making US more international with outsourcing
Negative. Just the opposite. Snacks, food and Beverages all delivered from the same truck. Only need ONE sales rep selling in everything. Why have a beverage, snack and foods sales rep go into the same account? That's ludicrous. Time to realign and trim all the fat!
Dealing with shifting priorities, stressed bosses, and messy operations is not worth it for a 1% raise
2024: PepsiCo market cap was 10% lower than Coke.
2026: PepsiCo’s market cap is 50% of Coke.
Huge reversal potential
They’ll try 90 different things between now and then. Constant chaos and change coming.
Should have been done years ago
We are crashing our way to option 2, as fast as we can.
With the existing clueless regime, yes. Under good leadership, you shouldn't desperately rush to it.
That's a realistic scenario. Agree
It will go beverages and snacks.
