Thread regarding Medidata Solutions Inc. layoffs

More confirmed silent layoffs

In addition to the rolling layoffs we've seen in marketing and sales I can confirm that additional layoffs have hit roles in project management and engineering. Naturally this will never be addressed, but it would be nice to know when this can be expected to subside. Extremely disappointing approach from leadership and such a departure from the transparency of the founders and subsequent leaders.

@4s4 as a very grateful ex-Medidatation, I’m not clued in to comings and goings anymore. What group was this veteran leading?

A well-liked 20 year veteran of the company was pushed out this week. Any talk about employee culture that comes from HR or XCOM should be disregarded. We’re all numbers on a spreadsheet.

Lately have been feeling very left out . I was removed from one of the weekly call. No client facing committed assigned. Left to do very support jobs. Feeling sidelined in meetings. It’s my number next is strong feeling.

Unbelievable! Two useless systems - none of which address the declining morale, poor leadership, and toxic culture.

During the town hall our head of HR addressed employee frustration regarding compensation and lack of raises and she told us to keep using OfficeVibe and WorkTango.

@1nk you think so? It seems like the Aris acquisition was done to complement Medidata. There’s little overlap between the two companies and it was presumably purchased to help address our current blind spots. It would seem like a waste of 2 billion to acquire Aris and then just strip Medidata for spare parts. Look, I don’t like the leadership and current culture either but I think this is a huge win for Medidata.

You know it’s bad when the earnings report hardly even mentions the company…so much so Dassault has even dropped the “increasing headwinds” bullsh-t qualifying statement. Medidata is gonna be stripped for parts like a 2006 Honda Civic.

Dassault announced the acquisition of ArisGlobal this morning for $2 billion.

Starting to understand why the layoffs have been heavy and constant this year. Though I’m sure the 7th (?) straight quarter of declining sales also played a part

I think there's also just been a lot of turnover frankly. i know of a few people in the eng org who quit on their own accord, one of which was an architect.
