Word on the street is some exec’s bonuses depends on large numbers of people getting fired or quitting. Just something I heard..

@4bn little known fact.
The staff reduction was part of the contract State Farm signed with HCL. They knew most of you weren't staying longer than the 1st year when they made the agreement.
The contract had to be amended after the fact because HCL's offshore teams were not as advertised and the rebadged numbers had to stay above target to compensate.
IT will rule the roost. In two years we will be a finance and IT shop with other functions being merely factories.
Hopefully we get more friends of JP as exec. That would be a track to success. Maybe we could look for some KFC execs as we seem to have Pizza Hut and Taco Bell covered.
@4bn IT has always been the anchor around SF’s neck. Bunch of Midwest generic employees that know nothing about technology. Should have been outsourced a decade ago.
"Your IT staff with 20 years experience was outsourced to HCL"... let me correct you with that .... those A--hats from executive that moved us to India and India let go a combined hundreds of years of experience ... and now IT at the Farm is soooooo sc--wed.
Is it true that they are building underground parking at corp south? Our current parking garages are not good enough?
Why does a vpo of claims have a surprising amount of power. Hmmm. Small brains can figure that one out. Oh wait — everybody already knows. When will State Farm learn that dirty business is not allowed.
This is true in the sense that corporate boards emphasize short term financial metrics too heavily, so execs may prioritize immediate cost reductions over investments in employees, service quality, or long term organizational health because their bonus compensation depends on it. The laziest and worst thing execs do at any company is go after their labor and workforce to achieve THEIR financial goals. The truly important outcomes like employee engagement, customer experience, and knowledge retention can be harder to measure than short term financial performance so they don’t GAF other than in a performative way.
@s3 yes, so sad. You cannot replace 20 yrs of loyal service with a bird brained infidel that doesn't give a p-o about SF. 💩
State Farm is full of politicians.
@n2 well, thank somebody in India for that .
Your IT staff with 20 years experience was outsourced to HCL
It is probably on efficiency and so focused on actually making tough calls to performance manage the dead weight that nobody has been willing to deal with it. Lots of entitled farmers kids that have a warped sense of their value.
Let’s not mention the fact our systems running slow or not loading at all and after reaching out to IT and them going into task manager and clicking things that somehow make our computers run faster after they change whatever settings in task manager.
First the fascinate fools; then, they muzzle the intelligent. Ask yourself: Are you intelligent or are you one of their fools?
@OP absolutely true. And if the fired person cries the bonus doubles and if they cry and mess their pants it is triple!!!
@OP was that Sesame Street you heard it on brahahaha
Random people on the street would probably have better information than what we see on here.🙄
@OP I doubt that it is that explicit. But it has been known for decades that layoffs pad profits and are timed for quarterly or yearly reporting. Normally I would expect it for a publicly traded company with stockholders but lately there is not much of a difference between State Farm and those organizations.
@OP What street was that?
