First Marcellus, now, EF and Powder. That’s 12 billion in divestitures. Take that to the bank.
Still won’t help the share price.

@OP Agree . . . add in the ~$4B for Anadarko and they'll be around the $15B that Kimmeridge, TOMS Capital and other institutional investment groups are demanding.
This is nothing new. We just witnessed Conoco dump EF the yr after they bought it to Ensign.
Why do companies wait until they do a sizable takeover to get their own house in order?
Conoco then got their house in order after buying Marathon.
Chevron waited until after wiping out Hess to get their house in order.
SM and Civitas. SWN and CHK, etc.
However, Oxy remained bloated after buying APC. XOM didn’t clean any more house than usual after XTO and Pioneer either.
Fire sale! Everything Half off so leadership can buy something else at a 10x multiple over market value!
@k2 Better be a lot more than just EF . . . better be Marcellus, Anadarko and Powder. Massive headcount reductions go with the divested assets.
Supposedly big news August 4th for EF we shall see..
EF? Eagleford?
Agreed . . . . still need to add in the lame Anadarko and spin it off to a PE company, or a Mewbourne or Continental or smaller independent. All of these need to be announced or complated in 2026 to at least quiet Kimmeridge and TOMS Capital but Gaspar better also be getting the data room ready for early 2027 Bakken divestiture. Even before the final non-Delaware divestiture of the Bakken look for COP, CVX, maybe even XOM or EOG to make a move to acquire DVN. It'll be gone by YE 2027.
Should be a very interesting earnings call.
