Over on the Centene Health Insurance Layoff site, they said Centene just announced that they are offshoring Medicare business.
I wonder if the same will happen here at Humana.

Some snp is already off site but not all states allow out of country workers. They moved most of the low monitored members to be managed by a company outside of the us.

News flash, Humana has been outsourcing Medicare business to the Philippines for many years, including Pharmacist and MD work, mostly nursing work . There’s more Philippine nurses and UMACs than US based.
@kc You say “only three” but that seems like a lot seeing as how the last one (Cognizant) apparently Centene is using to run their entire Medicare LOB; I guess so they can focus on running their Medicaid LOB, presumably.
I wonder if that is the plan here with Humana in regards to Cognizant taking over operations of our Medicare LOB. If so, that would mean major cuts to American citizens workforce.
A lot of people in Louisville, Miramar, and Dallas rely on these jobs to sustain their lives and those of their families, not to mention the local economies relying on the monies that gets passed along by thise gainfully employed l.
Humana is going to only work with 3 contacting companies, TCS, Deloitte and Cognizant.
I worked in Medicare at Humana and I took ERP because of the outsourcing in Medicare. It’s been happening.
I wonder if they can do that with the SNP program? Members who have Medicare and Medicaid.

@OP Yeah, I believe Centene is cutting all American citizen staff and replacing with some foreign vendor named Cognizant.
Not sure of the timeline but I believe they want Medicare business to be completely offshored by end of 2027, the very latest.
I bet Humana does follow suit. I don’t believe Humana has a true business model for profit growth other than getting rid of more expensive employees with lots of health insurance acumen and replacing them with temporary visa workers, contractors, or hiring much younger persons that in some cases are not even closed to being qualified for the roles they are being hired for.
