Sounds like your supv is about to be promoted
If you're not bipolar now you will be once you move up and see the mess you’re expected to clean up.
XOM managers are bunch of dush bags ...
It maybe a condition they have. I had a supervisor who was on spectrum . He was brilliant, but we didnt expect mollycoddling all the time. I have a bipolar child ; if they are bipolar, I totally understand. It is an equal opportunity employment place.
One of my first jobs while I was in high school, I was asked to go get some management tape. I wasn't sure exactly what management tape was because I figured all tape was the same and taped something down. I brought him some masking tape and he looked at me and said, never mind I'll get it myself. I saw that he picked up a roll of double sided tape. Later on I asked why he called it management tape. He said, "because it is two faced". Took me a while to get it, but it is spot on.
I thought a lot of these people felt insecure because it’s a house of cards they are setting on.
That's my supervisor to a T.
@dw exactly I was going to ask if his manager is mine
If it's a person who makes it to a supervisory position here there's a good chance that boy/girl ain't right. Probably 80% of the people who saw OP's post are wondering if they're on the same team.
@OP Aren't all of them?
@OP Maybe look in the mirror, chief.
