Another departure from the CSBB audit team. This time a director only there for a year and a half. You have a managing director that is pregnant and will be out on leave. A recently promoted director out on leave. What is going on with management in that team that so many are finding an out?

@ak You know it is bad when the USAA people are leaving and they get preferential treatment. In the last few months a handful of them left. I hope something changes and the team stabilizes.
I cannot believe the CSBB audit team is hiring two senior audit managers after laying off 3 senior audit managers 4 months ago.
@3nb wait until the 2 year sign on bonus period is up for many of the people on CSBB audit team. You will see many more people leave.
@3kg CSBB audit team is way worse than a train wreck or a dumpster fire. It is more like the forest is on fire, run Bambi run!!!!
@1zp RMO is a disaster.
RMO isn’t a train wreck. CSBB is just bitter and jelly. Y'all want to be us so bad.
But we get free ice cream and pizza once a quarter. I love that perk.
@13q Funny you did not call out the loser of losers discussing someone’s medical problems. Fertility issues are no ones business and confidential information. She is a private person there is no way she told you unless she thought you would keep it confidential.
@13q No one is mad they are out on parent leave. The director was out on parent leave earlier this year when his baby was born. Rather surprising he is out again. Stay out longer no cares. The problem is no one communicates and everything is a surprise and down the grapevine.
Out meaning the mean girls wow! This team just gets worse and worse.
Takes a real loser to be mad at people for maternity or paternity leave. Go get some mental help, seriously.
@ak I am trying to leave too. Everything you said is true. This is the worst audit team I have ever worked with. I wish you all the best with your job search.
@pc Welcome to the chat CSBB audit management. Love the cover stories you tell. My favorite was why the managing director left, starting a business. He started that business in 2025.
@OP just to clarify, the managing director has had fertility struggles so the fact that she’s pregnant is really exciting for her family, the other director is also on a much deserved parental leave with his new child (which is a benefit of working at Truist), and the director that’s leaving was tapped on the shoulder for a really great opportunity in 2nd line. So let’s just call a spade a spade.
@cv I have worked at other banks and big four in internal audit, nothing is as bad as the CSBB audit team. Be thankful for whoever is shielding you from how bad it really is.
@cv The big issue is that TAS is way outside of its lane on many, many things. They create work on things the touch they shouldn't because they don;t have a single clue what they are talking about.
I like CR and am sorry to see him go, but he's moving to 2LOD, so it's not like he's bailing on a sinking ship.
For what its worth, in my personal experience, I think the TAS CSBB team is doing alright. Could things be better? Yeah, probably, but I think you're going to find that on any team, in any audit shop, in any bank.
@c2 I can only hope the new CEO overhauls the executive team. As the saying goes, “A fish rots from the head down.”
All of the teams seem to be being torn asunder by terrible executive leadership. The Risk Management team (RMO) is an absolute train wreck. I have never seen executive leadership this incompetent and confident in themselves. AI will save us all they say.
The director is CR and he is going to second line as a director in compliance.
Which director in CSBB is leaving now? Do you mean leaving truist altogether?
But to answer your question it's a mess, no one truly knows what's going on, there is zero direction or consistency between audits. Everyone is trying to leave (including me) because there's no support from management, no direction, and only former USAA teammates get support or promotion. No one knows what most senior audit managers do daily, audit managers are either under trained or overtrained, and general staff are just trying to survive through the waves of daily indecision and misdirection. I feel bad for our clients.
@OP Dealing with them is a pain so good riddance?
