R2B and Honestly Disappointed There’s No VSP

I’m in R2B, and honestly I’m kind of pi---d I keep missing every severance opportunity. I know that probably sounds crazy, especially to those who were actually impacted.

First off, I’m genuinely sorry to everyone who was affected. I hope everyone lands on their feet and finds something even better soon.

That said, I wish Verizon would offer a voluntary separation program (VSP) instead of making people wait and wonder. I know there are employees like me who would seriously consider taking it, and it could help avoid some involuntary layoffs. It seems like it could be a better outcome for everyone.

I understand your sentiment and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t regret not taking VSP last time.

Also in R2B. I went kinda nuts when they did the first round of layoffs back in December. The whole change for us has been brutal. I had a talk with my director yesterday and asked me if i was happy. I’ve known him for years and i finally said no. Not sure how that’s going to impact everything moving forward but it seems like everyone that ignored retail and focused on funnel growth before the transition did great out of the gate. Tough when we were doing 4 jobs per 1 person.

Profit is the only metric. We are decimals, not people. Sociopaths at the top, sycophants around them. They do not care about any of us, normal people —and they never will. VSP is not coming back.
