Nielsen buys Double Verify

I've been out of the game for several years now so can't say I know much about Double Verify and if this is good or bad for their employees...but I will say this as someone who was around during quite a few Nielsen acquisitions back in da day!

If you're an employee of either company, expect to take on new responsibilities while earning the same amount. That's if you make the cut. For years I was a "nielsen" person doing nielsen things...but then I became a nielsen + arbitron + nielsen digital/net ratings person. My pay check didn't get any bigger but my work load, strees, aggro sure as heck did. I get triggered all these years later just thinking about my inbox being overrun with questions/issues from "new" clients I knew nothing about. Lol. Bad days for sure.

Anything Nielsen touches go to p-o, ratings, cpp, com, HH engagement, employees…..all over the years have worked both sides with this company that is as outdated as a FAX machine!!!!!!

DV has open job requisitions for the USA. Someone needs to tell them.

There's money for acquisitions but not for employees?

Makes sense anyway, after everybody that matters left (one way or another) there's no one here to innovate!

Feel sorry for those managers, engineers and scientists at DoubleVerify who will soon be out of job and their work moving to India. 2.1 billion for nothing!

Nielsen has not grown a line of business or acquisition in over 20 years.

Double Verify employees should know that Nielsen acquisitions are followed by a large RIF at the acquired company and a smaller RIF at Nielsen. Then will come the incremental reductions as Rao and his PE partners 'unlock value'.

Double Verify customers should be aware the products you pay for now will be reduced and consolidated. Prices will increase at every opportunity and Nielsen will arrogantly explain that you should be happy. Nielsen will attack you with lawyers if you step out of line.

@OP Read the article... and also, read between the lines. Here they go again ! Good Luck to anyone who is foolish enough to still work there. Smoke and Mirrors.. and empty promises.
