What happens with CWs who have like 6 months left on contract? My understanding is that contracts are more or less pre paid to the contracting firm so how would this work…?

@OP Yes, that's correct. In my past experiences CW's have been treated as a separate spending category and are treated as such during massive layoffs.
@at I checked and they do have to pay a penalty to the agency but they don’t care. I mean obviously they don’t care about anyone.
Feel bad for you all but glad to be a CW the name for the resume is good but don't feel bad if you wanna gtfo this is not the most abusive place I have worked but def the most siloed weird and sad, better jobs exist at smbs go live life
No, they are not prepaid and they can end them at any time.
