I told my supervisor that I would move to Edmonton but it was just a way to buy myself some more time. Many others did the same. There is going to be a very large number of us who do not make the move that the company thinks are going to.

News flash: they don’t care. In fact, they will be happy they are ahead of the projected headcount reductions.
But definitely do your best to delay and get the most out of them because they are doing the same to 90% of the employees. Zero loyalty runs both ways.
