Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Want to see some scary?

I was trying to click on Elevance Health because they, along with other of Humana’s competitors, seem to be going through almost exactly same challenges Humana is.

Well, I accidentally clicked on Emblem Health, instead of Elevance, and their last post thread entries were from 2016 and they were saying and complaining about the very exact same thing as us…about the offshoring to India and Philippines, about the CEO laying people off to raise stock price and to line executive’s pockets, etc., etc. etc. It was like looking in a mirror and we are talking back 10 years ago.

The last post entries on the Emblem Health Layoff site ended after 2016 so I can only think the company went under.

Anyway, scary stuff!

I cannot speak to the other major cities with Humana hubs but Humana was founded back in 1974 by two gentlemen, Wendell Cherry and David A. Jones Sr. and they had a mission for the good of this city.

Mr. Jones thought so highly of Louisville that he donated a very large sum of money for the creation of a humongous park. Not a small park but a substantially large park.

I am certain there was a reason why so many thousands of local persons to Louisville were employed. I rather doubt, after reading his book, that Mr. Jones ever anticipating Humana displacing so many Louisville residents and American Citizens for cheaper foreign labor.

As Americans, we need to stand up against this injustice now!

Apparently, displacing American citizen workers has been going unchecked for over 10 years now, by replacing them with cheaper foreign labor. I don’t blame them but rather the corporations and executives that are choosing to do this.

H-1B and all work visas need to be halted now. This needs to be conveyed to our government.
