Something fishy is going on. MDT is back in the $90s. Why are we RIFing people and this early in the fiscal year?
MECC (Minnesota manufacturing site) had a couple managers and a couple operation engineers laid off yesterday. No warning, just a meeting pop up on their calendar with the site director. Large re-org took place shifting people around, giving more responsibility to certain individuals with no change in compensation. Lots of people are angry as there’s no indication why and no indication if that’s the end of it. spoiler, it’s not.
What is the purpose with all of these cuts besides juicing the stock prices?

IT took a big hit yesterday (8/12)
We lost 4 from our IT security team that I know of.
I saw a list of 20 more from different areas of IT.
I know business unit folks that were let go too.
