Nike lost ~ 80% of its market cap over the last 5 years. People are asking, what happened?!

ITC. We've been on the downswing ever since we had one of their executives raid the charitable giving coffers. The bleed did not stop with the IRS investigation.
Millennials were obsessed with brands as status symbols. Gen Z prefers more subtle, niche signals of taste and fashion. And so, the gigantic "Swoosh" is now ugly and poor/old-coded, to them.
tldr; Nike failed to get with the times.
@b3 again 49 other options on the map so why are you here if you hate it so bad? Move and stop complaining bi--h.
@b2 He? You sound incapable of handling the truth: what Portland is indirectly makes Nike unfixable.
It needs to move somewhere else.
@b1 you sound like an elitist who thinks he's better than the people living here. Didn't know you were one of the chosen people.
@ax I mean…@at isn’t wrong. Oregon is a has-been state that’s turning back into a backwater.
No one wants to go there anymore…so it’s no wonder Nike can’t attract the right kind of talent to turn things around and instead to settle for, well, locals, unfortunately.
The stock price reflects it.
@a6 el único perdedor aquí es usted.
In the wise words of our COO- “our investors and stakeholders are fu--ing stupid”
A6 here. Probably the worst that’ll happen to me is I twist an ankle on the pickleball court and just get massages every day while I recover, still reschedule meetings, and use the KGJ nap pods.
When you are in deep sh-t, you don't look at other sh-t and say that sh-t is better than this sh-t.
@a6 They aren't spending and that's the point behind the 80% drop
They can roast us as much as they want. I’ll just keep playing pickleball all day, rescheduling meetings for the nth time, and making more money doing less and less. Fine by me 😂. Losers will still spend hundreds on shoes that cost us like $20 to make
