Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Now's the time to start looking

I've seen too many coworkers get laid off and panic because they'd been out of the hiring game for years. Start looking even if you're staying. Apply, interview, and keep your resume fresh. The worst that happens is you see what's out there. The best is you get an offer you can't refuse. You've got nothing to lose.

@a6 no, what he says makes sense. Sure, the best time to look for a job is when you have a job. But job hunting also su-ks! It's just awful, and requires the focus and dedication of someone who genuinely needs work.

@a5 Making an excuse and then puffing yourself up by stating that you have savings.
Useless comment lol I guess the post triggered something in them.

Good advice but everyone has different situations. A proper job search is time consuming, I have savings and I’ll do it once gone.
