The SE Executive leadership of TC and MM is disastrous. Too many SEDs and SSEMs worried about kissing up and posturing for their next role instead of actually leading.

The reputation of a Cisco SE is in the dumpster, ki-led by the disastrous CSAP program. Jump ship if you can.

The funniest thing about Cisco management is how they constantly complain that frontline sales lack technical skills and that’s why they can’t sell.
Sales, CX... it’s the same story everywhere.

Ironically, the least technical and business-savvy people today are often the managers/directors themselves. I’d bet good money that if you dropped them into a CCNA exam cold, without any prep, less than 20% would pass.

The fact that they seem to think trianing the SEs on generic busniess processes FIRST (when these accounts already have SE/AEs doing the sh-t busy work) vs technical product training tells me they dgaf what the SEs actaully need to do their job. "Oh hey customer, we heard you, here is another resource to help with account coverage. Oh.. um.. no, this person knows next to nothing deeply technical about the portfolio and.. doesn't have any sort of buddy (like a new hire) to help them along. .. hope you enjoy the worthless resoure"

meanwhile..."you're getting technical training in Q2... what/when is it? well we haven't bothered to plan that out yet.. but! it'll be good, we promise!!! Oh btw.. make sure you get your role goals entered into the AI bot and track progress! Good luck with your new role you never wanted in the first place!"
